22 April 2022 Earth Day

Hello! How are you today? It’s Friday here and Earth Day. I kind of think about holidays of this sort like this: “Why just a day?” For me every day belongs to the earth….without the earth there are no days. This morning I am thinking about the first garden and the first trees:

In Genesis 2:9 we learn about the tree of life and it’s purpose

Genesis 2:9New International Version

9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees(A) that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life(B) and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.(C)

When I’m out walking around, as I’ve mentioned, I feel like I’m in a garden. Each tree is doing unique things to make it’s leaves. There is a tree that captured my attention and I shared with you that is now making tiny little red buds all over it even after making leaves. Some trees are still in the process of waking up of have no leaf buds at all yet. The purple flowers I’ve shared with you have spread to several yards….the two little wild pansies have become a whole cluster of them! In ever nook of earth “things are doing things!”

Last night before bed I was talking with God and as I spoke I realized I sound a lot like my Grandma Schmidt! I began to remember and think of her with so much love. She and my Grandpa taught me early on about nature and the connection of nature to knowing and loving God. She loved her garden and grew such amazing flowers! Big white Kennedy roses. I loved going camping with them. My Grandma Becker and I shared a love of trees. When we walked together she would show me her favorite trees who she thought of as friends. Each one expressing itself in a unique special way. I’m so grateful that the early people in my life taught me what a precious gift this earth is.

Everywhere I look I see intelligence….the wisdom of the master gardener of all creation. For me, each day I get to draw breath is earths day:

Tulips
Isn’t this one a pretty color?
Every time I see these I think of the blue bonnets in Texas….I think of Sam. He was my little bumblebee. One time after he walked through a yard of blue bonnets, I later found one in our backyard!
I counted the rings, this one was about 8 years old before it was cut down….a baby in tree years
I mentioned to God that we hadn’t seen any blue flowers yet and the next day….blue!
This is howGod works with me lol – I thought there were just two wild pansies and God will say how about a whole bunch of them?!
Lots of tulips right now in various yards growing in many different spots
We got a little bit of rain again – I love seeing the sun peeking through the clouds
Smokey getting some time out on a walk – he goes a lot faster than Link does so not much time for pictures lol!
A Eden in our times – all the elements to life here
This part of our walk makes me think of where I used to go play as a child
Link is so patient with me and I with him. He likes to stroll which is great for when I want to get pictures
Link is so excited Smokey is visiting

A couple messages from todays A Woman’s Spirit book:

In celebrating the good in me that was always there, I will continue to flourish. – Jill Clark

Improving a small part of me at a time isn’t too much work. Cultivating my assets in this way promises that today will be good.

Did you know:

The oldest LIVING tree is called “Methuselah” and is 4,765 years old. This tree is nearly 1,000 years older than any other bristlecone alive today. It lives in a secret location in the White Mountain range of eastern California. The oldest known tree named “Prometheus” was cut down in 1964 by a doctoral student.Feb 24, 2015

17 April 2022 Light of The World

Hello to you. I hope this finds you well. It’s a sunny morning here – beautiful day for Easter. In a little while I plan to go to and share with others the good news of this day. Can you imagine what it must have been like to see Jesus after all he went through? I bet the sun was shining that day too! These words resonated this morning:

John 8:12 NIV

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

NIV: New International Version

Yesterday we were blessed to get some much needed rain! So grateful! There is water rushing through the canals again. Here are the pictures from yesterday:

Cheerful yellow blooms
Enough rain to see pools of reflection
Moss and lichen- thinking of the day my Mom taught me what lichen was during a visit to Pipestone South Dakota when I was a young girl
I love seeing water droplets sparkle in the sun
After the rain and storms it all gives way to glorious light
This one made me smile. It’s like the sun has hair of clouds!
Purple fit for a King
God put on quite a show last night with views like this and so many birds were out! A huge crane, a hawk, ducks, geese and so much more. The miracles of water.
Link checking out one of the canals on our amazing walk yesterday. We walked farther than normal and got to see and chat with other neighbors. One mentioned her taking care of a brother in Rapid City South Dakota! Since I’m originally from Sioux Falls that was pretty cool!
This one….this one made me think “Hallelujah!” I can just see angels and glory.

This song came to my mind this morning. It’s about a love that stretches through the expanse of all existence. I think of God’s love for us:

We are Stars by the Pierces

We are stars
Fashioned in the flesh and bone
We are islands
Excuses to remain alone
We are moons
Throw ourselves around each other
We are oceans
Being controlled by the pull of another

And I just wanna be loved by you
Yeah, I just wanna be loved by you
I see nothing worse
Than to sail this universe without you

When we met
I was pulling an angel out of a liar
We forget
Satisfaction kills our desire
We are dreamers
Wishing upon what we were born from
We made plans
Kill them ourselves
And then we mourn them

And I just wanna be loved by you
Yeah, I just wanna be loved by you
I see nothing worse
Than to sail this universe without you

I just wanna be loved by you
Yeah, I just wanna be loved by you
I see nothing worse
Than to sail this universe without you (I just wanna be loved by you)
I see nothing worse
Than to sail this universe without you (Yeah, I just wanna be loved by you)
I see nothing worse
Than to sail this universe without you
Without you

8 April 2022 Longing and Silence

Hello to you today. How are you? I am doing ok. The past few days I have been feeling this feeling of longing. Watching The Chosen has sparked these feelings I think. I watch it and find myself wanting a tangible Jesus in my own life. To be able to stand in his smile and warmth. Hear his voice. Ugh lol! Feeling feelings like this can be rough. I decided not to do my normal Twitch Stream this morning. Sometimes there needs to be silence.

The tough part for me about Jesus is he was once flesh and blood. He was here. He made a promise to come back and thousands of years have passed and all we have are his words. I think about him coming back now…in this kind of world and I think it would destroy him. Think of what the spotlight via the technology we have now does to people!

The message today in A Woman’s Spirit talks about the importance of silence:

Silence should be used sparingly. But used, nonetheless. -Stephanie Ericsson

When we want to control another’s actions, being quiet is difficult. Our ego screams to take charge! When we bite out tongue instead, remembering the Serenity Prayer, we are spared an unnecessary confrontation. Occasionally quieting our mouth, if not our mind, promises big payoffs in our relationship with others.

Silence wears many guises, however. We have all experienced the punishing silent treatment from lovers or friends. And our attempts to engage others in conversation are occasionally met with a silence that confuses us. Another’s quietness may not be easily understood, but we must accept it.

Silence, particularly our own, is requisite to receiving guidance from our Higher Power. Being silent is often the most valuable action we can take.

I will consider being silent each time an opportunity to respond offers itself today. Doing the right thing may well mean doing and saying nothing.

Bees are really digging the dandelions right now. The flowers are an important food source.
On our walk last night these purple beauties caught my eye!

A character in The Chosen story, Nicodemus, portrayed by Erick Avari has really touched my heart. I could just feel his sadness as Jesus and his apostles gathered to head out on their journey. He just couldn’t leave his life behind so he left gold coins to help them on their way. I wonder if any of us these days could easily leave our lives behind to follow Jesus if he asked us. Nicodemus and his wife were talking about Hagar, Abrahams wife and mentioned a verse carved around a door. I thought it was beautiful. Hagar referred to God as El Roi, “The God Who See’s me.” It spoke to my longing to experience a tangible God. I must remember that God can be seen…in all creation.

Genesis 16:13New International Version

13 She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,(A)” for she said, “I have now seen[a] the One who sees me.”(B)

18 Feb 2019 Flowers

flowers in Simple Gematria equals: 98

17/8/4/2/1 or 17 divided by 2 = 8.5 = 13/4/2/1 or 13 divided by 2 = 6.5 = 11/2/1 or 11 divided by 2 = 5.5 = 10/1 or 10 divided by 2 = 5 divided by 2 =

2.5 = 7 divided by 2 = 3.5= 8 divided by 2 = 4 divided by 2 = 2 divided by 2 comes back to 1

For some there is no question that they like flowers.  For some there is a question which flowers they like.  For some they like flowers but are allergic to them so they cannot enjoy flowers except from a great distance.  For some they know for certain they do not like flowers and avoid them at all cost.  For some it is not enough to dislike flowers.  They will go out of their way to destroy flowers for others so that no one may enjoy them.

What happens with the like or dislike of flowers could also cross over to people and anything else with a spirit, anything or anyone that comes from the God of my understanding.

A further look at how the sum for the flower breaks down:

nine eight in Simple Gematria equals: 91

nine one in Simple Gematria equals: 76

seven six in Simple Gematria equals: 117

one one seven in Simple Gematria equals: 133

one three three in Simple Gematria equals: 146

one four six in Simple Gematria equals: 146

Fluttershy’s Coronation Dress by Bethiebo on deviantART – I don’t have permission to use this image so I won’t.  For those unfamiliar, My Little Pony has a character named Fluttershy and she is one of my favorites.  When I was in a very dark depression it was at first the original MLP and then the current show that helped lift me out.  The show was like a life preserver from God to me and I’m very grateful for it.  The show is positive and tries to teach life lessons in a way many levels, many ages of people, can comprehend in a loving way.
