21 June 2022 Job 38

The petals of the peony give way to reveal a star

Hello to you. How are you today? The past couple days I’ve noticed some disturbing headlines but something that I haven’t really seen much concern about is the drought in the Horn of Africa. There has been talk about drought all over the United States…or flooding. What are we doing with the fresh water resources when they do come? When floods come are we prepared to collect it?

The March-May 2022 rainy season is
likely the driest on record. At least 18.4
million people are already waking each day
to high levels of acute food insecurity and
rising malnutrition across Ethiopia, Kenya
and Somalia, and this figure could increase
to 20 million by September. Jun 10, 2022

How many products are currently being made that use water – are they wants or needs? California is in a horrible drought but still allows swimming pools. Doesn’t make any sense to me. People all over the world needing fresh water, to include ourselves, and we play in it.

For the past couple of days I have been reading and re-reading a powerful exchange in the Bible between God and man. Job 38 The Lord Speaks. I think about so much going on in our world where it seems like everybody either wants to usurp God, deny God, or be a God in the absence of a tangible presence. All that’s missing is Golden Calves and I think there are many of those around. I know I don’t have all the answers but I do know who does. We will rise and fall for many generations but in the midst of all those “changes” an unchanging, merciful God remains to stand the tests of eternity:

The animated film I am sharing is a synopsis of much going on in this world – showing what has been done for profit and the consequences:

https://youtu.be/j800SVeiS5I – In Shadow – A Modern Odyssey – Animated Short Film

The children committing crimes of today were made. I saw a report of a 21 and 24 year old stealing and selling gas. Why did they think this was a good idea? Because people bought it from them! From inside the womb experience to their setting foot on the earth to the life they were told they would and should have. A lot of unmet expectations. Unmet expectations and empty promises manifest a seed of resentment. There is plenty of food for a seed of resentment to bloom. Keeping promises, unconditional love and acceptance, mercy, generosity of time, proper and meaningful education can turn a thistle into a rose. Don’t hate what you make when it comes to children – God doesn’t. Children are newborns to over 100 years old and some have fur, feathers and scales. Stop teaching hate.

20 June 2022 Little Pieces

Hello to you. How are you today? This morning I woke up with a song we sang yesterday in my head, “this is my story, this is my song….praising my savior all the day long.” I found these songs with very similar lyrics and messages:

Being grateful about this made me wonder about something else that I do everyday and am grateful for….something simple like brushing my teeth which is connected to Indoor plumbing. Having a tap to turn on and water flows is really pretty awesome. I got to wondering how Jesus and the people of his time brushed their teeth and I couldn’t really find an answer I was looking for until I saw information about the “toothbrush tree.” It makes sense to me that people would chew on something to release flavors and cleaning elements like we do now with chewing gum:

Salvadora persica or the toothbrush tree is a small evergreen tree native to India, the Middle East and Africa. Its sticks are traditionally used as a natural toothbrush called miswak and are mentioned by the World Health Organization for oral hygiene use. Other names include arak, jhak, pīlu, and mustard tree.Wikipedia

Species: S. persica

Kingdom: Plantae

Family: Salvadoraceae

Genus: Salvadora

Order: Brassicales

Location

Salvadora persica is native to the Arabian Peninsula, Africa, western Asia, the Middle East, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Although it is drought tolerant, toothbrush tree is often found where there is some ground water. It is also salt tolerant, growing along coasts or on saline soils.

Yesterday I listened to a lot of music and was so happy to come across another collaboration of countries praising God together to include Russia and the Ukraine!

Yesterday I also revisited a topic that gets me pretty fired up and that’s robotics and AI. All these people, many with good intentions and motives. I understand the kind made to be “tools” but there are many being made to be more than that. When you play God you better have all the pieces. What I am observing appears incomplete. These “tools” are made in our image and just like a gun, once it’s out of the manufacturers hands that “tool” can become a weapon. Science fiction becomes science fact – our current world is evidence of dreams….energy molded and shaped into countless realities. It took our creator a long time with many trials and failures to create us and all the other life forms we share earth with. There are basement scientists creating life like robots to be companions. Haven’t any of them seen Blade Runner, AI, Terminator. Ghost in the Shell. Westworld and Humans for just a few examples….Data from Star Trek?!

She kills the client and on her way out she says something very prophetic:” they do to us what they want to do to you!”

I found this and it is kind of scary to read. It’s scary to think the field of robotics is relying on Asimov’s codes as their guide. It’s scary to think of people making something they consider only to be a tool in the form of human beings. Many flesh and blood human beings are denied basic rights and revolt against the systems denying them those rights. How will it be when a sentient machine retaliates? To error is a human condition! How quickly do machines recover from erroneous coding once it’s let loose?! There are so many little pieces to code – look how long it has taken for us to figure out DNA and as we know, there can be errors within even it! Why is their not a global regulation of this field and their “tools?”

A code of ethics for robotics engineers

https://www.automate.org/blogs/robot-ethics-where-values-and-engineering-meet – excerpt use the link to read the whole article

First Law
A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Second Law
A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Third Law
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

–Isaac Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics

****

Robot ethics is a relatively new subdomain of robotics focused on ethical aspects of automation design and deployment.

While its origin can arguably be traced back to Isaac Asimov’s speculative Three Laws of Robotics (above), first published in the 1942 short story ‘Runaround,’ it is only over the past twenty years –spurred by the work of academic researchers, and later by trade organizations and standardization bodies—that the field has evolved to become an important part of the robotics conversation.

For example, The European Union funded RoboLaw project drew on contributions from experts in robot ethics in its development of extensive guidelines for European policymakers and lawmakers governing automation and AI deployments. Meanwhile, the IEEEis working on standards designed to ensure that automation and AI conforms with the principles of ethically-guided design and technology functions for the betterment of society.

Robot ethics combines insights from experts in robotics, AI, computer science, and engineering with insights from experts in philosophy, law, psychology and sociology, in an attempt to ensure that automation designs and deployments do not create ethical hazards for individuals and society. For example, considering the growing impact of industrial automation on society, robot ethics experts ask questions such as ‘Should industrial robots be taxed?’ ‘Does the rise of automation change the debate around proposals for a Universal Basic Income?’ and ‘How can we ensure that automation is designed and deployed with ethical considerations in mind?’

The domain of industrial robots is also included in the growing conversation around robot ethics. The rise of collaborative robots, which enable closer interaction between humans and robots than ever before on factory and warehouse floors, has given extra impetus to the topic.

NOTE: Safety has always been a core principle of industrial robot design, and industrial robots must comply with global and regional standards and laws governing safe design and deployment. Robot ethics builds on this established knowledge to explore the broader ethical considerations involved, such as worker well-being.

19 June 2022 Who Is Jesus To You?

Hello to you! For the men folk I wish you a Happy Father’s Day! I hope you are able to spend quality time with those you love and care about! What brings you the kind of feelings that fill you up inside? Is there a song that brings forth happy memories and a smile to your face…..gets you to hum a few bars? Today is a day of gratitude for fathers of earth and heaven. Today, as part of the series at our church Can I Ask You A Question, the question was “Who is Jesus to you?”

Study guide from todays service at Grace Middleton Bible Church. In honor of the dads there was a wall of donuts! Hearing messages like we did today is better than any donut…food you can chew and swallow. It is a energy, food for the entire body, mind and soul. Spirit food! Living water.

John 9:39 – 39 Jesus said,[a] “For judgment(AL) I have come into this world,(AM) so that the blind will see(AN)and those who see will become blind.”(AO)

If you have ever watched what happens with a stream you can see tangible living water. So many little pieces of life headed somewhere.

John 4:14

Version
14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. (A) Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water(B) welling up to eternal life.” (C)

This is a good song for today I think. Sometimes it’s hard to be yourself for a billion different reasons:

18 June 2022 Anywhere

Hello to you. How are you today? I hope wherever you are that you are doing well today or on a road to wellness and recovery in mind, body and soul. I hope you have all the resources you need for all the ways you are trying to make yourself the best person you can be and this world a better place for your being in it.

Ever since the first time I saw The Chosen episode with the Samaritan woman at the well, there was a part that made me curious. It was at the end of Jesus’s exchange with the woman and the disciples offer Jesus food and he refuses saying he has a food they don’t know about. I wondered what was this food?!

When you stop to think about it, the last time you were in the flow….truly happy doing something were you hungry? Thirsty? Tired? Or did you feel “full?” All the empty spaces within you filled up. Happiness is an energy….like a food. For me a energy food that goes beyond just happiness is hearing and singing beautiful songs and going on walks to interact with the other beings I share this life with. There is an energy exchange when you stop to appreciate a rose and smile! Not all food is food you chew and swallow. I am wondering if this is what Jesus meant. Matters of the Spirit create energies that feed a soul…fill us up and quench our thirst when we are in the midst of the experience. That spiritual experience doesn’t have to be in a temple…it can be anywhere….the Spirit, to me, is the very air that gives us life:

John 4:27-32
New International
Version
The Disciples Rejoin Jesus
27 Just then his disciples returned(A) and were
surprised to find him talking with a woman. But
no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are
you talking with her?”
28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went
back to the town and said to the people,
29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I
ever did. B) Could this be the Messiah?”(C)
30 They came out of the town and made their
way toward him.
31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, 0)
eat something.”
32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat(E) that
you know nothing about.”

Yesterday I was thinking about something called a path to success. It is a path I imagine for the children. There is a time when we know why we are here and have great enthusiasm to do it but then comes the world, for many, with obstacles. So many dreams crushed by negative money, greed and power structures we’ve built for ourselves. I was imagining a generation of children being encouraged, doors opened and opportunities presented for them to have a path to success from their very beginning. Imagine a world of people doing what they have been sent here to do? Imagine all the “ happy” energy….food for the entire body these children would have to eat? I truly believe God didn’t send us here to spend all of our days in misery.

I encourage you to learn to see yourself, others and the beings we share life with using the eyes of our hearts.

17 June 2022 Agreements

Hello to you today. How are you? I’m doing ok. A little sad and disappointed after glancing at the headlines. It seems like it’s so much easier to look outwards for solutions to what ails us. So many really smart people engaged in petty energy exchanges from local things to the world stage. Oh to harness all that energy and ambition to looking within and attempting to find common ground, meaningful and sustainable solutions. All these brain trusts of people and we are still barely beyond being a primitive civilization.

Something we can all agree on is we need energy for our homes, schools, businesses and transportation and the current status quo is not sustainable and doing irreparable damage to our shared home:

Yesterday, on a spiritual level I experienced what it’s like when many countries can agree on something. In this case it was a song and a powerful being who I feel would love it if we did more collaborations and cooperations in all these small and large issues facing all of us:

https://youtu.be/JM5MDFgPnBU – 50 Countries sing Amazing Grace

For some reason these two songs came to mind last night and this morning. The first is an old song about coal miners and the other a wacky song about the ease of time travel:

And this song brought me to tears last night remembering one of our countries treasures and the man who wrote the song Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails:

lyrics that speak to the pain we all experience in one way or another…..turn it out……turn it in….. another thing we have in common is there is no escaping ourselves. For me the only peace comes from God and our relationship together.

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that’s real

The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar’s chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair

Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I’m still right here

What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

16 June 2022 First Song

My Uncle was watering his garden yesterday and was making rainbows in the process! A song of color for the eyes and reminder of good will.

Hello to you today. Hope this finds you well! Yesterday Link and I had a wonderful visit with my Aunt and Uncle. We had her wonderful meatloaf, mashed potatoes and broccoli – yum! We talked about a lot of things to include music. It was so fun to see the two of them dancing in their seats to Chuck Berry’s song Johnny B. Good and sing parts of My Girl by the Temptations with my Aunt. We weren’t really agreeing about fossil fuel as an energy source but did agree every takes energy. It takes energy to GET energy! Our current main fuel source took a long time for the earth to create and once it’s gone it’s gone. With our climate change issues becoming more pressing change has to come. We can’t leave the kids with this mess to figure out – (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greta_Thunberg)

When I got home music was on my mind and in particular the String Theory. Where my mind went was thinking of what was the first song to be played on a string instrument:

The earliest surviving stringed
instruments to date are the
Lyres of Ur, plucked
chordophones, which
currently exist in fragments
that date back to 4,500 years ago. The first
bowed chordophones were probably
developed in central Asia and were the
forerunners of an Indian folk instrument
known as the ravanastron. Oct 8, 2021

Then of course I checked my other favorite playground besides Google, Youtube, and found this interpretation of the first known melody played on a Lyre:

https://youtu.be/QpxN2VXPMLc – The Oldest Known Melody Hurrian Hymn No 6 c. 1400 B.C

As I listened to this I started thinking about what it must be like for God and the earth to experience such a thing. There were bone flutes that have been found but they aren’t the same as hearing vibrating strings making harmonies of sound. If you really use your imagination the first true song or melody was probably made made by the vocal chords of someone singing or humming:

https://youtu.be/Tsh-0VvAGQA – Throat Endoscopy Exam While Singing

I wondered, as I couldn’t recall, if there was any record of Jesus singing and turns out he and his apostles sang a Hymn at the Last Supper:

Mark 14:22-26
New International
Version
22 While they were eating, Jesus took bread,
and when he had given thanks, he broke it’A)
and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take it; this
is my body.”
23 Then he took a cup, and when he had given
thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank
from it. (B)
24 “This is my blood of thelal covenant, IC) which
is poured out for many,” he said to them.
25 “Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the
fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new
in the kingdom of God.”(D)
26 When they had sung a hymn, they went out
to the Mount of Olives.(E)

Well naturally I was curious as to what Hymn they sang together – they don’t really know for sure beyond tradition of Passover:

While Scripture doesn’t explicitly state
which hymn was sang, Jewish tradition
reveals that the Passover meal was
concluded by singing the last portion of the
Hallel. The Hallel is comprised of Psalms 113
through 118. It is a joyous celebration of
praise and thanksgiving to God. Apr 9, 2020

The Psalm Sang at the Last Supper

I looked a little deeper and found out about the Hebrew Passover song Dayenu:

Dayenu (Hebrew:דַּיֵּנוּ‎) is a song that is part of the Jewish holiday of Passover. The word “dayenu” means approximately “it would have been enough”, “it would have been sufficient”, or “it would have sufficed” (dayin Hebrew is “enough”, and -enu the first person plural suffix, “to us”). This traditional up-beat Passover song is over one thousand years old. The earliest full text of the song occurs in the first medieval haggadah, which is part of the ninth-century Seder Rav Amram.[1] The song is about being grateful to God for all of the gifts he gave the Jewish people, such as taking them out of slavery, giving them the Torah and Shabbat, and had God only given one of the gifts, it would have still been enough. This is to show much greater appreciation for all of them as a whole. The song appears in the haggadah after the telling of the story of the exodus and just before the explanation of Passover, matzah, and the maror.

https://youtu.be/omvnuuppOlg – Dayenu Passover song

Many years ago, at a church I was attending in Florida, they did something really special by inviting the local Jewish community to share the experience of a Passover Meal with us. The path my explorations have taken me reminded me of that experience. Music is so good at being a book marker in my brain for memories. Little snippets of time, moments wrapped up in melody.

It’s fascinating to wonder what could have been the first song most likely made with strings of God’s own design. It makes me smile to think of our God possibly being a nerd too. You don’t manifest a lot of something out of nothing without a lot of creativity.

Examples of the Golden Ratio in nature coexisting together

Hello to you. How are you today? I hope your doing ok! Todays post is a reflection of some exploring, questioning and learning I’ve been doing lately. When you live alone and are a nerd like I am you have time for such things! I have so many questions for Earth School! I know most people visiting my blog don’t exactly have a lot of time for themselves or for learning unless they have a specific question or are officially in a learning situation like going to school. May be something here will interest you too – I hope! If this is too much for one visit – I encourage you to come back when you can. Sending you love energy and a virtual hug.

What are you learning in Earth School today?

Why is the golden ratio called the God ratio?

The Golden Ratio (phi = φ) is often called The Most Beautiful Number In The Universe. The reason φ is so extraordinary is because it can be visualized almost everywhere, starting from geometry to the human body itself! The Renaissance Artists called this “The Divine Proportion” or “The Golden Ratio”.May 5, 2019

Learned something new today when I was wondering about some of the environmental impacts of drilling for oil in the United States. You don’t get something for nothing or even cheap. Ultimately some cost will be paid either immediately or over the course of time:

Subsidence – sinking of the ground because of underground material movement—is most often caused by the removal of water, oil, natural gas, or mineral resources out of the ground by pumping, fracking, or mining activities.Apr 15, 2021

https://oceanservice.noaa.gov › facts

What is subsidence? – National Ocean Service

https://www.blueridgeoutdoors.com/go-outside/does-oil-drilling-cause-sinkholes-or-earthquakes/?amp

In cases where other liquids don’t move in, such as in the North Sea off The Netherlands, the porous rock layer that harbored the oil originally can collapse after extraction, causing slight amounts of land settling (known as “land subsidence”) in the rock layer surfaces above, but typically no more than a few tenths of an inch per year.

Here in the U.S., land subsidence induced by the large volume extraction of underground resources including oil and gas “is more common than most people realize,” according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a government agency which collects, monitors, analyzes and provides scientific understanding about natural resource conditions, issues and problems. Flat coastal plains and wetlands near sea level are most at risk from this potential side effect.

Have you ever heard of the term transpiration? I hadn’t either but when I was finding out about part of where our fresh drinking water comes from this term came up:

Transpiration is the evaporation of water from plants, especially leaves. It is a type of translocation and part of the water cycle. The amount of water lost by a plant depends on its size, the light intensity, temperature, humiditywind speed, and soil water supply. The process of Transpiration helps in regulating temperature in the plant.

Transpiration was first worked out by Stephen Hales (17 September 1677 – 4 January 1761), an English clergyman. He proved what is still believed, that the evaporation of water molecules from leaves is the main force pulling the water column up from its origin in the roots.

How transpiration works

Leaf surfaces are dotted with openings called stomata, which act rather like pores. In most plants there are more on the undersides of the leaves than on the top. The stomata are bordered by guard cells that open and close the pore. Transpiration happens when the guard cells open the stomata. This lets oxygen and water vapourflow out, and carbon dioxide flow in. The carbon dioxide is used in photosynthesis, and the oxygen is produced by photosynthesis.

A lot of people single and with families are struggling financially right now with the prices of most everything increasing – inflation. Sometimes getting confused about the difference between a want and a need can contribute to the daily struggle. In the times we are in it’s important to know the difference and set priorities accordingly. There are a lot of things I used to do and buy that I realized I could do without because they aren’t essential to my survival and in some cases were harmful to the environment – so many chemicals, packaging and trash! I used to waste a lot of money on these things I didn’t need and a lot of it just ended up down the drain or in a landfill:

https://study.com/academy/lesson/the-difference-between-wants-vs-needs-in-economics.html

Wants, Needs and Economics

Quite simply, the economic definition of a need is something needed to survive. In economics, the idea of survival is real, meaning someone would die without their needs being met. This includes things like food, water, and shelter:

“A want, in economics, is one step up in the order from needs and is simply something that people desire to have, that they may, or may not, be able to obtain. Again, with those two simple definitions, it doesn’t seem like there should be much to talk about, but there is. Economics deals with how we allocate scarce resources, and those scarce resources may be needed to meet someone people’s needs and other people’s wants. So, we do need to talk about wants and needs.”

10 June 2022 Beautiful Reminders Of The Kingdom

Hello to you, I hope this post finds you well today. Link and I are doing pretty well which I am so grateful about. So much going on every second we live. I’ve been praying for the world. Yesterday I looked at the Fortune 500 and gun manufacturer list. Found out the Ar-15 is no longer made by Colt but by a Czech company CZG-Ceska Zbrojovka Group. I’ve begun to follow the money, goods and services of the world with my thoughts and prayers.

Yesterdays walks were without Link. I finally found what was bothering his foot – a sharp seed had embedded itself in the fur of his paw. He was so pissed at me for fiddling with and pulling it out! Growling and making faces at me and he was so apologetic about it lol! Kind of like a crabby lion just needing a thorn removed from his paw.

Anyhew what I saw on the walk yesterday reminded me of my Grandma Schmidt and her amazing roses. As I saw, smelled and touched them it was like her saying hello to me…..joining me on the walk. Sometimes when I stayed with her and Grandpa we would go for walks. God and this earth are so comforting with ways like this to remember and experience those we have loved and lost:

I also think often of Saint Therese Lisieux (https://www.littleflower.org/st-therese/frequently-asked-questions/) when I am experiencing the beauty of Gods creation. Learning about her taught me that life isn’t just about “big things” we do and that occur in a lifetime. There are so many little things, seemingly minute details, that if left undone the world is incomplete. We all have a part in Gods plans…..great and small. It’s important to do our part the best we can.

Luke 17 The Coming of the Kingdom of God(W)

20 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come,(X) Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’(Y) because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”[c]

22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man,(Z) but you will not see it.(AA) 23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.(AB)24 For the Son of Man in his day[d] will be like the lightning,(AC) which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things(AD) and be rejected(AE)by this generation.(AF)

26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah,(AG) so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 “It was the same in the days of Lot.(AH)People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.(AI) 31 On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.(AJ)32 Remember Lot’s wife!(AK) 33 Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.(AL) 34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”(AM) [36] [e]

37 “Where, Lord?” they asked.

He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”(AN)

For some reason recently I was lead in thoughts from Morse Code, the Enigma machine to the Navajo code talkers that saved our behinds at Iwo Jima. All of our communication is some sort of pattern, tone, pitch, code….sound….energy wave. Chester’s message here to fellow Marines resonates on many levels….”come home safe….come home in one piece.”

9 June 2022 Removing Obstacles To Meaningful Change

Equisetum hyemale (commonly known as rough horsetail,[1] scouring rush, scouringrush horsetail

Hello to you. How are you doing in your today? There is so much going on in the big world and out individual worlds! I hope your making time for yourself and making time to have a relationship with God. All those things you might think are so important don’t have much meaning if you are exhausted and your spirit is depleted!

This morning my thoughts were about what I have been observing about our shared existence and change. Each of us like a little earth and we are it’s President. We have our own ideas, morals, values…..rules and code for how our personal earth operates. Each of us have different and unique biology with in addition to life experiences shape our individual perception of how our personal earth should function. We don’t all like the exact same of most anything that has been conceived of. It’s hard to get agreement in ourselves at times! So much input creating so much inner conflict. There are things we agree on but even in those agreements are the personal perceptions…..expectations of how and how much we agree. Our personal beliefs and perspectives when it comes to issues that come before us as a whole to decide on can become walls too high to climb. Too thick to even yell and be heard through. We get set in our ways. We get comfortable. We think we are right. We are often driven by emotions and one of the most powerful is the energy of fear. Least that’s what I have been seeing for quite some time now.

When it comes to making hard decisions like those facing us now, I think it’s important to remember each mini-earth aka life form is biologically incapable of perceiving existence exactly the same. No two life forms are going to witness an experience exactly the same. They have a unique body with unique biological operations. We don’t interact with ourselves, others or anything external exactly the same. For example just because you were raised responsibly doesn’t mean that’s the case for most anyone around you. You might have everything you need to function well and many around you do not. Something as simple as temperature – some like it hot and some cold. Is either one “wrong” no…just different. These disparities shape lives and perceptions…make each of us uniquely us. It is important in the process of trying to attain agreement to recognize that different doesn’t always have to mean wrong.

Sometimes instead of building bridges we build higher walls.

Instead of being open minded and open to the possibilities that we may not be entirely right about something….even afraid about things can cause obstacles to appear……obstructions to making a path forward to changes we desperately need. What are the facts before us? Can we trust the evidence? Where and what is the common ground? What old perceptions, emotions and beliefs are stalling our progress? I truly believe in order for meaningful progress there are mostly intangible obstacles we must recognize and remove on each of our own little planets!

How much longer do we let fear and scarcity rule the day? When we succumb to fear we are living a life without God. Each day I am praying for all leaders that God would give them empathy, wisdom and courage. I pray that God will help them respect differences, recognize their own perceptions and how those perceptions are controlling their thought and decision making processes.

We must honor, acknowledge and respect that we are biologically incapable of perceiving existence exactly the same. This doesn’t make “wrong” it makes “different.”

Matthew 22:36-40″Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. ‘ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

This is for young people we have tragically lost like Eliahna “ellie” amyah Garcia who was 9 years old and was going to read this message out loud but never got the chance. A young man fueled by anger and bad choices played God and took her chance away. Now the world doesn’t have all the things Eliahna was truly here to do. The same can be said for Salvador Ramos.

Anybody can do nothing,” said Colvin. “Why would you want to do nothing? You are special, and you are uniquely made, and nobody can do what you are meant to do in this world. Nobody. And if you don’t do it, we won’t have it. If you continue to go the way you’re going, that will be 17 more gifts that we’re missing as a society.”

8 June 2022 Star Rose

“Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time.” – Jean-Michel Basquiat(December 22, 1960 – August 12, 1988). – my therapist shared this with me today and I just love it! I am a time traveler in my own head when it comes to the multi-sensory experience that music can be. Hearing certain songs takes me to different destinations. Sometimes it’s long ago and sometimes it’s “right now.”

I found a star rose! As is above so it is below!

It’s not just music that can be a multi-sensory experience. This picture of what I’m calling a star rose for example. When I see this picture I remember how the color made me feel when I first saw it. How the roses petals felt on my fingers. How wonderful the rose smelled. So many layers of experience in just capturing the image of a being sharing this existence.

Something fun to share with you about light being able to transmit the message of sound:

https://youtu.be/Gj_wdMU-b04 – Can you send sound on a light beam? (Mr. Wizard)

I was thinking a lot about this concept yesterday. I was thinking about refraction and other “obstacles” to using a beam of light to send a message….to receiving a message. There was another experiment Mr. Wizard does with timing the speed of a sound. There are several variables to consider with how fast we receive a sound. Think about “dead stars” in space. We see them still shining long after their life cycle has ceased. It takes that long for the message of change to travel to us…. the light and sounds in waves and particles crossing such great distances. I think of what the girl did in the video I’m sharing with you. She was holding the flashlight and sending the signal of light and sound information but all it took was her putting her hand in front of the flashlight to obstruct the signal.

Allium flower – the process this flower has taken to get to this picture has seemed like something from another planet!

Allium, also called Ornamental Onion, is one of the most interesting blooms in the spring and summer garden. With a spherical shape that holds its form throughout the season, it’s one of the longest lasting blooms to be had from a bulb.

I want to take a moment to thank all those who have been praying for me with the pain I’ve been experiencing. It helps! I also wanted to share that there is power in prayer for not just people. Link has been experiencing something with his back foot and I worked through old fears about it, prayed and let God on it. The boy got some rest last night and quit messing with his foot! God seems to care for all of creation not just people.

I have been finding music like this helpful. The varying frequencies of musical energy can reach parts of us that nothing else can:
