How have your political views changed over time?

I have been a Democrat for quite some time but would like to change to an Independent because I don’t like either Republicans or Democrats! I use to be in alignment with Democrats but not any more. I haven’t been following politics much at all these days because I’m just disgusted with it all.

Share what you know about the year you were born.

The biggest thing I know about the year I was born was the death of Martin Luther King on 4 April 1968 and Robert F . Kennedy on June 6 1968. I can only imagine how this must have affected my family who were avid supporters of equal rights. The year I was born was a tumultuous time!

15 September 2023 Leader

Do you see yourself as a leader?

I don’t think of myself as a leader but I’m not a very good follower either – somewhere in between. When I was in the military I questioned authority quite a bit! It was hard having so many bosses. I had my direct supervisor who had a supervisor which was also my supervisor all the way up to the President of the United States.! There was a lot of inconsistency along the way.

11 Sept 2023 Remembrance

Today marks a solemn day in world history – a day that showed the world that this country was not invulnerable to terror. In the past such things only happened in other countries not in ours! What’s sad is there are still people that were directly exposed fighting for benefits. There has been an increase of cancer related to the tragedy.

28 August 2023 What’s Going On?

Hello to you. I’ve been surfing random news from various sources and it seems like something big is building. Everything from natural disasters, bank closures, human trafficking, aliens, a really bad President – conspiracy theories about what’s happening with fires. I saw even something about Old Faithful potentially erupting. On every front we are being corralled into fear. I won’t let myself succumb to it. We’ve been through times like this so many times before. We just didn’t have the internet to feed it to us all at once from so many different angles. I don’t believe these are the end times in the way people think. I believe we are having a revelation- a great reveal. Things that were hidden are being brought to light…finally.

13 August 2023 Anniversary and Patience

Hello there – how are you today? Today is my 37th anniversary of when I joined the United States Air Force. It’s hard to believe so much time has passed since that day. I remember saying good bye to my parents and the flight to San Antonio Texas. I was nervous and excited at the same time! If I hadn’t decided to join I don’t think I would be where I am today which is both good and bad. I don’t miss being in the military but I do miss some of the amazing people I met through it!

Todays message was back in the story of Abraham and Sarah. The thread of their story can come down to one word – patience! God is a promise keeper but it is in his time not ours. This is a lesson I have had to repeatedly learn because for the most part I’m not patient! I want the answers now even though I know better. I have to remember that so many little things have to move for one big thing to happen for just one prayer to be answered.

12 August 2023 Most Important Thing

What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?

Hello to you. How are you doing on this sunny hot day? It’s 88 degrees here right now as I write to you. Link and I are on the porch getting some vitamin D. Had trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep again last night so I checked for a movie to watch and Amazon Prime had the movie Megan. That movie about a little girl robot gone rogue. Another movie warning us about what is possible with the direction we are headed with robotics and AI. A lot of messages woven through it about raising children too. How many overworked parents have turned the care of their children to video games, television and smart phones?!

This movie made me think of movies like AI, Prometheus, Humans and Blade Runner. What if in all this that we are doing the quantum computers and robots develop consciousness and can’t be turned off? What if they decide to hate their makers? We will have to vote with our pocketbooks and not get sucked in to the hype. Once these cats are out of the bag there will be no way to stop it – kind of like people not wanting to part with their cars and guns. People develop emotional attachment – the Humans show did a good job of illustrating that with William Hurts character and his ailing robot. He didn’t want to replace him because he had so many memories stored inside of him….like our smart phones!

Todays prompt is tough for me as other than my phone most of the time there isn’t anything I carry with me all the time. Sometimes I will carry a crystal in my pocket but that isn’t very often as I’m afraid I will forget it and it will end up in the laundry! I like having Link with me most everywhere but he can’t be everywhere with me because he is a spoiled child lol!

10 August 2023 Alternate Universe

Describe your life in an alternate universe.

Hello to you. How are you? I’m just back from my weekly prayer group and getting my blood drawn to check my Depakote levels. It was nice to be able to just drive up the road to get the blood work done instead of going all the way to Boise. Looking forward to this afternoon and helping out with a hotdog event for the church at Middle Creek Elementary School. I will be helping to serve the hot dogs.

Todays prompt provokes thoughts of a lot of “what if’s.” What if my birth mother had not taken her life- would I even be writing to you right now? I would not have met my stepmother and all her family. I wouldn’t of probably been as close to my Grandparents. Would I have ever been in the Mental Health system at all? So much of an alternate universe for me depends on the very beginning of my life and the subsequent choices I made growing up. In an alternate universe I’m pretty sure I would of had at least one child. I would probably still be married because I wouldn’t have the Bipolar diagnosis going on or if I did it would be under control.

I envision alternate universe where there would be no hunger, no poverty, clean affordable food and water for everyone, affordable shelter, clean affordable and sustainable energy to meet all our needs, flying cars with auto pilot functions, everyone would be healthier but if you did get sick, you would have access to affordable and trustworthy medical care. I think of so many science fiction movies and television shows that have healing chambers or hand held healing devices. In an alternate universe where the needs of the people were put before arms and war making – life would be great! I feel like we should be much further along in our development as a country – as a world.

8 August 2023 Days Like These

Hello to you. It’s Tuesday and another lovely day. We got some much needed rain again yesterday – I even took a walk in it! No scary dreams last night just something about paying out money to family to include my parents lol. What strange movies the brain makes!

The title of my blog today is me being in observer mode and seeing a pattern with the world. We’ve had dark days before and come through but will we come through these? There is a lot of stuff on social media I’m seeing that is painting a dark confusing picture. This is nothing new really. These are the worst of times. These are the best of times. These are confusing times – which way to go?! Everything is put on us all at once- thank you internet! We have major cities being taken over by homeless who are on drugs, AI and robots taking over the world, inflation, an election coming up, increased veterinary fees, no access or little access to decent medical care, war, weird stuff going on with the beings living in the oceans and seas and now aliens…on and on! No wonder the average American is burned out and doesn’t care! Most people just tune it all out and don’t pay attention unless what’s happening directly affects them. So many people are in survivor mode!

As Christian’s and children of God we must keep our lights on even as hard as it can be. Earth school is definitely in session! I’m glad I’ve chosen team Jesus. There is hope in him and his promises.

30 July 2023 Perspective

Hello to you! How has your weekend been? I’m just back from church – there was a good message and a good turnout. Pastor Jason emphasized perspective about life. He had a good way of sharing it. He had a spool of twine he wound through all of us and that symbolized our connection to the eternity of being in heaven with Jesus. He cut off a tiny sliver that symbolizes our individual life and he blew it away. Our lives are short compared to eternity! He also talked about us not really having control over what happens to us but we can control how we react to what happens. Old wisdom for current times! What I know about perspective is we are biologically incapable of all perceiving this world in the exact same way.

I’ve been processing more about the latest news about aliens. I was over at my Aunt and Uncles yesterday to spend some time with them and my cousin Laura. My Aunt is healing from her shoulder surgery. We all agreed that this news doesn’t change much for the average American. They were relieved to hear me say that as my blogs were pretty full of excitement about it lol. They were a little worried about me. I haven’t lost my perspective! What frustrates me and other UFO enthusiasts is when people say the extraterrestrials are demons. I don’t believe that. I believe they are of Gods making too. It’s all his design. My Aunt and Uncle don’t think they are here to help – they think we are like ants to them – observing.

My Aunt is doing well and enjoyed having my cousin and I over to visit. The boys went to see Oppenheimer – 3 hour movie! She wanted to watch Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga so we watched different performances of them together on YouTube. It’s funny how much of a bridge was built by those two with genres of music.
