I would have to say I’m the most happy being in good company and good food. I like to eat and enjoy sharing a meal with family and friends. The holidays is the best time for all of that! This past Thanksgiving and most recently our family Christmas party were great examples of what I mean.
Psalm 16:11New International Version
11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.
My first day at work was at Travis Afb and the first person I met was the man I would eventually marry! He was at work early and so was I. He kept me company while I waited to inprocess to the base. He was very handsome and charming.
Hebrews 10:24-25New International Version
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
What is something others do that sparks your admiration?
Something that sparks my admiration in others is thoughtfulness. I have people in my life that are extremely thoughtful and pray and look out for others. I used to be a lot more thoughtful than I am now. It takes a lot of energy to be thoughtful. I mostly pray for people now than do or buy things to show I’m thinking of them.
Ephesians 4:32New International Version
32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?
I would have to say the most positive event that has happened this past year is joining a prayer team at church. We have built a wonderful support system that we pray over the church and pray over eachother. Having this support system has been helping me get through some challenges I have been facing this year. Having this group has encouraged me to get more into the Bible.
The other positive events were spending the holidays with family like my first Thanksgiving with my cousin. There is a lot of family here!
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
My feelings about eating meat is guilt most times. I know that most meat animals in commercial farms suffer horrible living conditions. I eat meat with gratitude for the lives given so that I might live.
Isaiah 11:6-9New International Version
6 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling[a]together; and a little child will lead them. 7 The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. 8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. 9 They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
I have lived near and visited mountains and they are so beautiful. My memories of living in Colorado Springs and going hiking and fishing on lakes on Pikes Peak are some of my fondest memories. I can remember falling asleep there too. One time I woke up to a hummingbird flittering around a red hat I was wearing. I liked the sound of Aspen tree leaves blowing in the wind. When we were in Europe there were mountains too – in Austria in particular. Gorgeous! Where I live now there are mountains – they look pretty when it snows.
Psalms 121:1-8 NIV
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?
Today is Thanksgiving Day and for some people, the First People, it’s not a day to celebrate. I celebrate it with family and a heart of gratitude. For me it’s not so much about the history but about having a day designated in the year to give thanks for our blessings.
If I could meet a historical figure it would be Nikola Tesla or Dr. Wilhelm Reich. Both men contributed a great deal in their lifetime to the world of science. I would ask Nikola about the mysterious black box that I believe was a battery. Dr. Reich I would have him show me how he made orgonite and his orgone chambers. Both men wanted to give their knowledge and inventions away for free to help the common man. That’s one of the biggest reasons I chose them.
Psalm 69:30New International Version
30 I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.
Hello to you. How are you? I’m doing ok. Yesterday was nice. My Aunt and I went out for her birthday dinner at the Rustic Kitchen in Star. She got her favorite fish dinner Halibut. They gave her a big piece of chocolate cream pie we shared for her birthday dessert.

Trusting my instincts yes or no – kind of a mixed bag with that. Sometimes my instincts are right on – in the flow of things but sometimes they are not. My instincts with as far as money is concerned aren’t the best. Sometimes I make hasty decisions and regret it later.
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Who is the most famous or infamous person you have ever met?
Hello to you. I’m trying to get help with my medication. I’ve been taking more than I have been prescribed and am almost out again. I have just been so anxious and the olanzapine is the only thing that works to help calm me. I might have to go back in to the walk in clinic which sucks as I have to get someone to take me.
The most famous person I have had contact with is Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his wife Mara Lane. I sent him a fan letter and they responded. Which is very rare. The other famous person I saw at an airport was Lyle Alzado of the Oakland Raiders. The team came and sat in the restaurant my ex and I were sitting in. They were so big! Lyle was at his best – before he was sick from steroids. I knew as soon as he was walking by that “he was somebody!”
I need to get better about this!
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Hello to you. How are you? Todays prompt is a good one. There are a lot of benefits to having a pet. Link is my family member and he helps me not feel so alone. He makes me feel like a momma and that is a good feeling since I never had children. He is like my son. What’s cool is we got to have pick of the litter with Link for the first time as all the other dogs were rescued. I have known Link since he was a itty bitty baby! Hard to believe he’s going to be 9 this year!
Link my handsome boy
1 Peter 4:8New International Version
8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
