I could do more of a lot of things. It’s hard to pick just one. What immediately comes to mind is I could do more exercise and I’m working on that. I found an exercise routine online that works on the belly in a seated form and I’ve started doing that:
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Hello to you. Hope this finds you doing well. One of the best pieces of advice I’ve been given through the years is never price your own stuff. When I was considering selling my own work I was practically giving it away for free. Kind of a case of not knowing my worth. When it comes to creativity, all the glory goes to God. I don’t like charging money for my creations. Anytime money has been involved in my making stuff, it’s not gone well. The best way I like to do things for someone wanting me to make something for them is them providing the materials and I then make the item. I did that for a couple paintings I did for my therapist. She gave me money to buy paint and canvas and I did a couple paintings for her office.
Paintings I did a few years ago
Genesis 1:28New International Version
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earthand subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Hello to you. I am posting a little late. I didn’t get to church this morning as I had trouble sleeping last night. I’m still working on sleeping and being awake. The medication I take before bed is suppose to help me sleep but so far it’s not really doing that! I try to go to bed around 9 pm and am still awake at 2 or 3 am!
Todays prompt is a timely one. I don’t get energy just from food. I get energy from positive people, places and things like music. I suppose you could say it’s a bit of being an energy vampire and an empath. I have been this way much of my life. I think we all are energy vampires- energy beings – in one way or another. We all survive consuming energy be it ambient or solid to live. It’s important to know boundaries and consent. I have been fed on before to the point I near fainted before. The woman that was feeding on me didn’t realize what she was doing and neither did I! I just knew I had to get away from her! I remember breaking out in s sweat and feeling weak.
2 Timothy 1:7New International Version
7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline
Hello to you. How are you today? Here we are at Saturday again. I’m sitting out on the front porch with Link – it’s nice and cool out even though it’s 2 pm. Fall is definitely on its way!
Romans 2:11 International Version
11 For God does not show favoritism.
I don’t have an all time favorite album. I have favorite songs from a bunch of my favorite bands. One of my all time favorite singers is David Bowie and all time favorite bands is Depeche Mode. A newer favorite is Blue October. Ever since we’ve had the ability to get access to individual songs, I’ve gotten away from favorite complete works.
Which topics would you like to be more informed about?
Hello to you. How is your Friday? It’s nice and cool here this morning. Can definitely feel that fall is on the way! It’s happening fast like the rest of the year had gone. Today is my second day of Evolve 2.0 – a supplement I’m trying to burn body fat. I’ll keep you posted on how it’s working.
Todays prompt is pretty easy. I am always curious about learning more about spirituality and science. Most would say how can you be interested in both of those without one cancelling the other. The truth is the more I learn about science the more my faith is validated! There are things science can’t easily explain and will probably never explain and into this void is a space filled by faith and spirituality.
My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration.” This quote also resonates with those of us that consider ourselves spiritual seekers today. Tesla indicates that he believed in some kind of source energy that we can all tap into.
Hebrews 11:1-3New International Version
Faith in Action
11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope forand assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Hello to you. I hope this finds you well. Today I got my latest supplements I’m trying to help me lose weight – Evolve. We shall see what happens.
My life without music would be intolerable. I can’t even imagine a world without music! Music is a big part of how I remember so much. It’s either in the background or in the forefront of what’s going on in my life. Music is an integral part of the multi sensory aspect of memories for me. When I recall certain memories and have trouble all I need to do is pick a song and that helps me.
There is an organization called Music and Memory that really shows how powerful music is to waking up people that have “gone to sleep” in their bodies.
Psalm 96:1-3New International Version
Psalm 96
1 Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. 3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
The way I celebrate holidays has varied throughout my life. There used to be birthday cakes and blowing out candles and that still happens to this day even if I protest lol. Although traditional cake had been replaced with chocolate pudding dessert. The major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas involve family gatherings and lots of food. That hasn’t changed much. Presents at Christmas has really toned down and the Idaho family does a white elephant gift exchange. Now that we have little babies, great grand children, in the mix I can imagine Santa Claus will surface!
Exodus 20:8-11New International Version
8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lordblessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
Write about your most epic baking or cooking fail.
I would have to say my worst baking fail is chocolate chip cookies. When you live in a different climate, altitude, access to different quality ingredients, different stove- it all affects the outcome of what your making. By the time I left Texas, I pretty much had everything down and the cookies were consistently good. I had my fans – my Dad and my exes brother in particular ! When they came to visit they would make a beeline towards the container I used to keep them in! I haven’t baked really since I got here. Just too many calories for one person.
Exodus 16:23New International Version
23 He said to them, “This is what the Lord-commande: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the Lord. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.’”
Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.
The lesson I wish I had learned earlier in life is my value or worth. I don’t think I’ve ever really learned that lesson. To this day I still don’t really have this down. The book by Amy Tan Joy Luck Club talks about this concept. It’s a sort of muti-general trauma that gets passed on from one generation to the next. Not realizing our value or what we have until it’s compromised or gone.
19 Do you not know that your bodies are templesof the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
