Hello to you. How does life find you as you visit me here? Today was good. I had Thursday prayer group with Lois, Judy, Jeannie and I. We prayed for Pastor Jason and his family. He is recovering from a car accident in which he suffered a concussion. He is sorely missed! He does so much and his absence is deeply felt. I’m so glad he didn’t suffer worse injuries! It’s been so nice having Judy added to our group. She prays so deeply as does my dear friend Jeannie! I love our little group – our little spark of faith.

A little bit later I went over and visited with my Auntie. She made us a pizza for lunch. We had a good talk about negative media. She has felt like the news lately has been a horror show – the work of the devil. We aren’t designed to handle so much negativity! I have noticed it too. We need to focus on Jesus. She told my cousins daughter, a young mother, to avoid watching the news too much. Good advice!

I love having time with my Auntie! She is so gentle and kind. When we are together we try to focus on what is good and light in the world. She is a great comfort to me.

The genie grants you a wish. What is it?

Hello there. How are you? Today’ began with the prayer group I go to on Thursdays. Today it was Lois, Jeannie and a new person named Judy and me. We prayed for Pastor Jason and his family to have protection from attacks. We prayed for each other and for the things on the prayer sheet Lois has for us like Leadership and Facilities. We prayed for the elders, volunteers and for a place to go when the lease for Grace House is over in December. There is always lots to pray for and also give praise.

After prayer Jeannie and I went to the Sunrise. It was so nice to have quality time with my friend! I ordered something different – no meat. I want to stop eating meat. I can’t stand the cruelty in the food animal system! Every-time I eat meat I am conscious that more than likely the animals whose flesh I’m eating has experienced trauma and maltreatment. I don’t buy milk or meat anymore. I buy Amy’s frozen dinners and they don’t have meat in them and taste really good. I’m doing what I can by voting with my pocket book.

Today’s question is pretty easy for me to answer. If I had one wish it would be to not bipolar – to have my health restored. So much of my life has been wrecked by this condition. Both of my marriages ended badly because of this diagnosis.

Hello to you. It’s dark as I write to you. The days are getting shorter. It’s usually this time of year that the fast forward button of the year gets pressed. Before we know it it’s Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years!

This morning was prayer. There were just Lois, Jeannie and I. We found out our Pastor Jason was in a bad car accident. He was rear ended by a car going 55 miles per hour! It seems like there is always something happening to the Boyd’s! It is said that the closer you are to God the bigger the target you become for the evil one. Our little group is so important. Our soul purpose is to pray for our church and each other. I always pray for the world too – we need Jesus more than ever now!

Hello there! It’s Thursday as I write to you. This morning was prayer group. There were 4 of us. It was good to see Missy , Linda and Pastor Jason. Jason had each of us pray for something for the church. For me it was for church leadership. I had trouble verbalizing my prayer. I do better writing than I do speaking. I did my best! I’m going to write my prayer here:

Dear Jesus I pray for the leadership of Grace – especially Pastor Jason and his family. He is being pulled in many directions and he’s tired. I pray you give him the strength and wisdom to wade through such rough waters. I pray you surround him and the leadership of our church with your protection and love. I pray for this fallen world – we need you now more than ever Lord. I pray for all my family and friends. Wrap your loving arms around them! Amen.

Hello to you. How are you? I’m feeling better than I did this morning. I went to my prayer group to start my day. I almost didn’t go because the pressure in my ears was so bad. I’m glad I went and I didn’t stay stuck in my head. I got to see Missy who’s husband we’ve been praying for. He is still having headaches but is home and doing better. Pastor Jason’s daughter Harper is doing well after her surgery. We had prayers and praises. The biggest prayer is needing more people to volunteer to keep pace with the needs of our growing church. I feel bad that I’m not doing more but with my stuff I have going on I am limited. I will keep on praying that Jesus will show me what I can do.

Hello to you. It’s morning as I write to you. This morning was our Thursday prayer and praise meeting. We had a good turnout to include Jeannie before she heads back to school, We had a lot to pray about in addition to our prayer sheet that Lois prepared for us:

My back was hurting when I went but after prayers it’s feeling better.

Last night I had a couple dreams that woke me up. The first one was so brief but vivid. It was anticipating the arrival of my stepmom and then all the sudden the room went black. I made my scary dream noise that woke both Link and I. Link hates it when I have scary dreams. The next dream was of me turning off several bedside lights and then something putting pressure on my chest to hold me down. I cried out for help – specifically for my first husband Ken but he didn’t come. I got away and kept crying out for Ken til I woke up. It’s been awhile since I’ve had vivid scary dreams like these.

Hello to you. How are you? I’m back from my walk alone – got Link around once. He didn’t want to go but we made it! I followed my Aunt Ruth’s advice to take my phone with me. Because I did I got a couple pictures!

You wouldn’t know by just driving through my neighborhood that there is so much beauty. Many of my neighbors take great pride in their yards. I encourage you to take a walk if you can and take your phone not just for safety but to see with new eyes! Oh and use that nose of yours to smell the beauty!

We had our Thursday prayer meeting at Grace House – there were four of us. It’s always good to pray together! We have personal intentions we pray about and a prayer sheet Lois and Pastor Jason put together with the prayer needs for the church. I included the wars in Gaza, Ukraine and Russia today. It has been tearing me up to see the effect war is having on the children in Gaza – so malnourished and afraid! No child should have to go through what they are.
