I don’t think of myself as a leader but I’m not a very good follower either – somewhere in between. When I was in the military I questioned authority quite a bit! It was hard having so many bosses. I had my direct supervisor who had a supervisor which was also my supervisor all the way up to the President of the United States.! There was a lot of inconsistency along the way.

Colossians 3:12-13New International Version
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Hi there. I’m just back from our Thursday prayer meeting and getting groceries. I’m grateful for the gathering today and the prayers for my health by the folks gathered there. Which leads me to one of my top favorite words gratitude. Adopting an attitude of gratitude in any season of life can really make it easier to get through. It’s focusing not on what’s on wrong but what’s right. There have been times lately with the stuff I’m going through that I have wanted to give up. Getting into a gratitude attitude has pushed me through those times.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Psalm 100:4)
Hello to you, I hope this finds you well. Last nights Bible study was good , there were four of us. I have trouble reading scripture and being able to understand it sometimes. I’m glad we have other ladies there to help break it down.
Drawing for today
Today I got to thinking about the probe we sent to the sun. The Parker Probe is the closest thing we have to a door inside of the sun. When I was having my episodes in Texas and spending time outside I felt like I was having a relationship with the sun. Weird I know but during those times everything was communicating with me!
In December 2021, the Parker Probe reached the atmosphere of the sun. Since then, it’s been looping around the sun, drawing closer each time, and sending back tons of data about everything it encounters.Aug 11, 2023
Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord. 2 Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore. 3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
4 The Lord is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, 6 who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; 8 he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people. 9 He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children.
What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you?
Looking forward to Bible study tonight, hopefully more ladies will attend.
The personality trait that raises a red flag for me is dishonesty. More than anything I hate being lied to or misled, I have been called gullible before and that’s because I want to believe the best in people – give them the benefit of the doubt. Boy have I have been screwed over for that! When I was using dating apps especially.
Proverbs 3:5-6New International Version
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight
Today marks a solemn day in world history – a day that showed the world that this country was not invulnerable to terror. In the past such things only happened in other countries not in ours! What’s sad is there are still people that were directly exposed fighting for benefits. There has been an increase of cancer related to the tragedy.
When I think of the Twin Towers I think of this from the Bible:
Genesis 11:1-9New International Version
The Tower of Babel
11 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward,[a] they found a plain in Shinar[b] and settled there.
3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”
5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said , “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.9 That is why it was called Babel[c]—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
Hello to you, how are you doing today? I’m doing pretty good. Had a nice little visit with my cousin Tony this morning. He came over and we had a walk and went over to the Sunrise Cafe for something to eat.
So how do I relax? When I think of relaxing I think of relieving tension in my body. I focus on my breathing – deep breathes. I remember to exhale as deeply as I inhale. Relaxing is something I actively do to feel better and relieve tension. I also listen to soothing music and meditations.
It never ceases to be a thing of wonder when I see a rainbow. We got some nice rain yesterday and afterwards was a full rainbow and then when I looked closer it was a double!
Double rainbow
I think of all the claims made on this phenomenon and it makes rainbows so complicated and divisive. The rainbow is a phenomenon for all to see and appreciate. Whenever I see one I am filled with such hope and wonder! So it was a double dose seeing two rainbows shining together!
How is the formation of rainbow naturally?
A rainbow is a natural spectrum appearing in the sky after a rain shower. It is caused by dispersion of sunlight by tiny water droplets, present in the atmosphere. A rainbow is always formed in a direction opposite to that of the Sun. The water droplets act like small prisms.
— Prophecy of the Rainbow Warriors (a Native American Prophecy) “There will come a day when people of all races, colors, and creeds will put aside their differences. They will come together in love, joining hands in unification, to heal the Earth and all Her children.May 6, 2016
13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.
The furthest I’ve traveled from home was Europe when I was in the military. One of my favorite memories is when we went to visit the Swan Kings castles Neushwanstein and Linderhof in Germany. We saw them on a bus tour. What a beautiful place to have castles.
This was the song I listened to on the bus on the way there – it was snowing:
My ideal home doesn’t look much different than where I am living right now. The only difference would be there would be more storage, built in shelving and a doggy door. I could use a couple more square ft. I would also love a water feature like a pool or fountain. These are just wants not needs so probably not ever going come to fruition.
I don’t know if this home will be my last. I know I can’t sell this house and buy another with interest rates being what they are. I’m a little concerned about Wells Fargo bank closures as of late too!
