8 May 2023 Wisdom of Elders

Hello to you. It’s a sunny but windy and cool day here as I write to you.

Yesterday I was wrote about the heart and it’s role in my life versus what I’m being taught through Christianity. Both my Aunt and Uncle read it and gave me feedback. My Uncle had some specific wisdom about it. He said you are meant to use your brain and your heart when you are facing something but in doing so you need to turn to what Gods word says you should do not just rely on your own thoughts and feelings. I will say that for pretty much any question I’ve had about life, I’ve been able to find an answer in the Bible. I’m grateful to have people like them to talk about matters of the spirit. Talking about spirituality is one of my favorite things.

As I’m always saying, “ balance in all things” – getting out of my own head and heart is often a pathway being made for clarity. When I get out of my own way, the Holy Spirit can move. I take things so personally – I have to remember everything isn’t about me! I can be so selfish.

1 Timothy 5:17-21New International Version

Hello to you. How are you today? We are having a gray and overcast morning. It was rough last night. I had trouble getting to sleep last night.

Lots of birthdays this month. Today is my cousins wife and my Uncles wife birthday. Happy birthday!

Today’s Twitch Stream touched on several topics. One was money. I don’t feel like there is anything wrong with it but if you make it the primary motive for doing things life can be so empty. It’s an energy just like anything else – what you do with it. The other thing we talked about is how this world is really crazy right now. It’s a time to really look for the helpers….to be one of the helpers in these times in whatever way you can. Something simple everyone can do is with prayer and meditation. Turn your thoughts and your heart toward things of the Spirit….to the God of your understanding. Be one of the lights. I know it’s hard. I’m struggling with this myself!

I pray for the people in conflict right now be it a person at war with themself to entire countries like the Ukraine and Russia. I pray for all leaders in this world that God will give them wisdom and enlighten them to see a future of light.

31 March 2021 Cast Your Cares 2

Hello to you, how are you today? It’s afternoon as I write to you and I hope you have had a good day. The title today is because I was feeling anxious this morning before I got up and I heard that message again! It is such a relieving phrase to hear! Here is one I read this afternoon:

“The Lod is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV

The cares I needed to cast to God involved driving to my doctors office to pick up a lab slip for blood work to be done. I had only ever been to my doctors office when my Aunt was driving so I was nervous about getting lost on my own. Sometimes my GPS doesn’t work so well! Thankfully everything went well and I got there just fine. I think if I had chosen to go later in the day there might have been a problem. The route took me through some pretty busy areas of town!

I guess you could say I am having to learn to drive again or at least that’s what it feels like. My husband did so much of the driving when we were together. Now I have to do it I for myself. Some say it’s part of having independence to be able to drive but I there is a part of me that would love to have someone drive me again lol! I would love to have a driverless car some day.
