25 Aug 2025 Time of the Day

What’s your favorite time of day?

Hello to you. Hope this finds you well. If you are struggling to get through your days I pray for you. You are not alone! There are a lot of people struggling in our world and not much relief in sight. The only true relief for me comes when I focus on Jesus! Writing to you helps me a lot too. I thank you for stopping by here and visiting with me. I get so lonely at times! So many people in this world are lonely. Even with all the technology we have we are still lonely as ever.

Today’s prompt, if you asked me a few years ago, would be easy to answer. I was a morning person. When I was active duty Air Force and working full time I had no choice but to be a morning person. I had routines each day that got me out of bed and happy to begin my day. When I retired on 16 Sept 2002 my life and routines got all turned upside down. I had to come up with new routines. Having pets, specifically dogs, helped because there were morning dog walks with my now ex Kyle. I miss his company so much! I miss being married. We had such good talks! Link can’t really go for walks these days because of his back leg giving him trouble so I have to walk alone.

I don’t have a real life purpose except on certain days of the week right now. I have been praying and talking to God for many years now about what it is he’s got me here to do. Ideas come and go. I’ve tried different things but my body problems and issues being bipolar hold me back from fully committing to anything. Most of my purpose involves my spirituality when it involves anything. Thankfully I will be joining my Aunt and some other ladies next month in a Bible Study. Being with these ladies will be good for me and will get me in the word.

Pastor Jason closed with this psalm Sunday:

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

22 Jan 2025 Pet Understanding

If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

For today’s prompt – if there is one thing I could make Link understand it would be how much I love him. I don’t know if he fully understands what it means when I tell him I love him. I think animals love but it’s unconditional unlike human love tends to be. Like I’ve said before there is a good reason dog in reverse is god!

Yesterday I went to Bible study with my Aunt. There was a good turnout. There are about 8-9 ladies. In addition to going over the homework we share what is going on in our lives – great support system. We prayed for one of the ladies who feels like she and her family are under attack. I was able to share a bit of what I wrote about in my previous blog and got support about it. We have been going over what idols in our life prevent us from fully experiencing God in our lives. For many of us we have functional idols like our phones and just being busy – too busy to be open to what God wants for us. I would say my phone is a functional idol in my life. Without it there isn’t much going on in my life! I am trying to spend more time with God. Just started reading The Daily Bread before bed as a way to spend time in the word – something my Aunt suggested. I had forgotten that I had the app on my phone!

Exodus 20:22-24:18New International Version

Idols and Altars

22 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

24 “‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and blessyou. 25 If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it. 26 And do not go up to my altar on steps, or your private parts may be exposed.’

13 September 2023 Door to the Sun

Hello to you, I hope this finds you well. Last nights Bible study was good , there were four of us. I have trouble reading scripture and being able to understand it sometimes. I’m glad we have other ladies there to help break it down.

Drawing for today

Today I got to thinking about the probe we sent to the sun. The Parker Probe is the closest thing we have to a door inside of the sun. When I was having my episodes in Texas and spending time outside I felt like I was having a relationship with the sun. Weird I know but during those times everything was communicating with me!

In December 2021, the Parker Probe reached the atmosphere of the sun. Since then, it’s been looping around the sun, drawing closer each time, and sending back tons of data about everything it encounters.Aug 11, 2023

Psalm 113New International Version

Psalm 113

Praise the Lord.[a]

Praise the Lord, you his servants;
    praise the name of the Lord.
Let the name of the Lord be praised,
    both now and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
    the name of the Lord is to be praised.

The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
    his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the Lord our God,
    the One who sits enthroned on high,
who stoops down to look
    on the heavens and the earth?

He raises the poor from the dust
    and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes,
    with the princes of his people.
He settles the childless woman in her home
    as a happy mother of children.

Praise the Lord.
