14 Mar 2026 Wind

Hello to you. Hope this finds you well. I’m just back from a short walk and boy is it windy! I remembered to take my camera so I could get a couple pictures of spring blooms. It was a little tricky with it being so windy.

Yesterday began early for me. I actually didn’t wake up until my alarm went off! My Aunt invited me to the monthly gathering of Sisters of Grace and they meet at 9:00. When I go with her I drive to her house and then we drive together to the church. She made bread pudding to take along that came out really good. There was a good turnout. The ladies are so welcoming and kind! Being with so many kind souls is good for me. We sang this song that I really like:

Matt Redman and Jonas Myrin [Key: C#]

Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name.

Verse 1 The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning; It’s time to sing Your song again. Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, Let me be singing when the evening comes.

Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name.

Verse 2 You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger, Your Name is great and Your heart is kind; For all Your goodness I will keep on singing, Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find.

Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name.

Verse 3 And on that day when my strength is failing, The end draws near and my time has come; Still my soul sings Your praise unending, Ten thousand years and then forevermore.

Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name.

17 Oct 2025 You Are Complete

Hello to you. Yesterday I got the groceries after prayer and it was about $250! Ipes! I got asked by my friend at prayer, Jeannie, if I was interested in taking on another senior dog. I have been praying about it. Tonka is the name of the Yorkie mix who is about Links age. I just don’t think I can afford another dog. Vet bills and food is so expensive! That’s what happens when you start thinking about adding another pet to your family!

Today began early for me as my Aunt invited me to join her at the Sisters of Grace gathering in Nampa today. There was a guest speaker named Lester Villatoro. I know Lester through his leading music worship at both Nampa and Middleton campuses.

This message from Lester’s testimony really resonated with Aunt Ruth

After a nice buffet of stuff people brought to eat, Lester’s testimony was quite moving. He spoke of his first wife who battled and died from brain cancer, the near death births of both his girls and how he met his current wife. When he spoke of his teenage girls and how big and much they laugh and asked us to remember when we stopped doing that – when we stopped feeling beautiful or enough the answer for me was immediately my divorce. Up until then I laughed easily, felt young and beautiful. I am a much more serious person than I used to be. What he said next was powerful too, he said you have to let go of what’s holding you back. I still haven’t completely let go! He had a lot of encouraging words for us women. After he spoke they did a drawing for prizes and I was hoping I wouldn’t be called as I try to limit what comes in to my house because it’s so small. My number was the first called! Thankfully my Aunt liked what I got and took it for me. I didn’t need wooden spoons for Grandmas kitchen! The ladies at the gathering were so sweet and so welcoming. The Sisters of Grace community is quite strong and growing.

Psalm 100New International Version

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.

10 Nov 2023 Sisters of Grace and Favorite School Subject

What was your favorite subject in school?

I was up and awake early this morning and was able to join my Aunt at a Sisters of Grace gathering at the Nampa campus of Grace Bible Church. There were so many there they had to pull out an extra table! There were a lot of good messages to go along with the good food and company. My Aunt brought her plum cobbler that was really good!

Grateful by the letters

My favorite subject in school was creative writing. I used to write short stories and still on occasion write poetry. My creative juices are almost dried up these days. The medication I’m on controls the same place my creativity comes from. It’s either be creative and manic or be “normal” and not creative. I don’t want to end up in the hospital again so medication it is! Like some people are diabetic or have heart conditions I am living with a condition that is potentially fatal if it goes untreated. It’s taken a long time for me to accept this truth.
