13 Oct 2026 Book of Mormon- Visitors

Hello to you on this sunny Tuesday afternoon. My medication arrived so I’m feeling better.

I just had three young ladies visit me wanting to talk to me about The Book Of Mormon. They were really nice and it was hard to say no to them! They wanted to leave a copy of their book with me but I said no thank you. They were so nice!

Here is some of what the internet had to say:

The Book of Mormon is a sacred text of the Latter Day Saint movement first published in March 1830 by Joseph Smith Jr.. Regarded by believers as another testament of Jesus Christ, it serves as a central “keystone” scripture alongside the Bible for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and related denominations. [1, 2]

Overview of Content

The book is structured as a historical and spiritual record of ancient civilizations inhabiting the American continent: [1, 2]

  • The Record: Adherents believe the text was compiled by an ancient prophet-historian named Mormon, who abridged thousands of years of records engraved onto gold plates.[1, 2]
  • The Civilizations: It follows two major groups—the Jaredites, who left the Old World during the time of the Tower of Babel, and a family led by a prophet named Lehi, who left Jerusalem around 600 B.C. and later split into the Nephite and Lamanite nations. [1]
  • The Climax: The central event of the narrative is the post-resurrection ministry of Jesus Christ, who is recorded as visiting and teaching these people in the ancient Americas.[1]

Spin of the World Prayer Wheel:

I pray for hope for those who feel none.

I pray for those in despair

to be lifted by the power of love.

I pray we all can be a part

of making this prayer come true.
