Is what we see what we think or is what we think what we see? (591/15/6/3 cycle) – phrase that came to my mind thinking about this drawing
Reality = 90/9 Fantasy = 86/14/5 Illusion = 111/3 Simulation = 133/7 Creation = 85/13/4 Hologram = 89/17/8/4/2/1
= 594/18/9 cycle
“Life as we know it” = 172/19/10/1 or 10 divided by 2 = 5 divided by 2 = 2.5 = 7 divided by 2 = 3.5 = 8/4/2/1
594 + 172
= 766/19/10/1 or 10 divided by 2 = 5 divided by 2 = 2.5 = 7 divided by 2 = 3.5 = 8/4/2/1
It’s interesting to see with just this little sampling that it boils down to the same answer, in the numbers at least!
This stuff has been on my mind again. Most everything has already been done in music, movies, books, games etc., so what is it that we are buying? We are paying to read, to play, to see and or to hear someone’s personal interpretation or unique vision/version of what has already come before. So while the concept of an original thought or idea may not exist, an original interpretation of an existing thought or idea can. My riddling this out is helpful because it helps me understand some of what is going on with the creative industries these days.
original thought = 184/13/2/1 intellectual property = 267/15/6/3 copyright infringement = 255/12/6/3
copyright = 121/4/2/1 property = 133/7 original = 85/13/4/2/1 creative = 83/11/2/1 rights = 81/9 royalties =124/7 profits = 103/4
ownership = 127/10/1
“It’s all about making money” = 259/16/7 divided by 2 = 3.5 = 8/4/2/1
“Point of view” = 154/19/10/1
Perspective = 138/12/3
Perception = 121/4/2/1
706 + 857 + 672 = 2235/48/12/6/3 — seems to boil down to copyright infringement doesn’t it?!
(Thoughts in spirals = 235 showed up in here lol)
Personal interpretation = 284/14/5 very close to original thought = 184/13/2/1
2235 + 284 = 2519/17/8/4/2/1 very close to “It’s all about making money” = 259/16/7 divided by 2 = 3.5 = 8/4/2/1
money = 72/9
2519 + 72 = 2591/17/8/4/2/1
What is copyright infringement?
As a general matter, copyright infringement occurs when a copyrighted work is reproduced, distributed, performed, publicly displayed, or made into a derivative work without the permission of the copyright owner.
A type of network where computers communicate directly with each other, rather than through a central server. Often referred to simply as peer-to-peer, or abbreviated P2P, a type of network in which each workstation has equivalent capabilities and responsibilities in contrast to client/server architectures, in which some computers are dedicated to serving the other computers. A “network” is a group of two or more computer systems linked together by various methods. In recent usage, peer-to-peer has come to describe applications in which users can use the Internet to exchange files with each other directly or through a mediating server.
The public domain is not a place. A work of authorship is in the “public domain” if it is no longer under copyright protection or if it failed to meet the requirements for copyright protection. Works in the public domain may be used freely without the permission of the former copyright owner.
