8 May 2018 Poem for my somebody

Hello to you.  It’s a beautiful morning and we have plans today to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary.  I am reminiscing a bit this morning.  Time goes so fast when it comes to the “good parts” doesn’t it?!

This was taken at Universal Studios in Florida, Jan 2005. Our first real dates together. We want to get back there to explore Harry Potter world soon!

I wrote this little poem for my sweetheart.  We have a “theme” of trees for our anniversaries.
For my husband 8 May 2018 – Jackie

Tangled, winding, ancient and green

A path to the middle

A stretch to the unseen

You woven into me, me woven into you

In the end it’s all looking up

Into the ancient blue

My friend EasyWeimaraner reminded me that today is an important for another reason:

Victory in Europe Day, generally known as V-E Day, VE Day or simply V Day, was the public holiday celebrated on 8 May 1945 to mark the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces. It thus marked the end of World War II in Europe.
