I had a lot of dreams last night but the one that was the most vivid I think was triggered by watching the latest rendering of A Wrinkle In Time….the “It” or Camazotz. Kyle decided that was our movie for last night. It wasn’t the best movie we’ve ever seen but there were many themes and messages within it that resonated with me very deeply. Apparently strongly enough to be a key to unlock a dream door. This is pretty ironic given the subject matter of the film/story is traveling through dimensions with a thought!
The dream started out in an empty gray room like this picture with abnormally dark black shadows in the corners of it. I heard myself ask, “Mom?” and then this dark shadow was choking me like has happened before in my waking life when we lived in an apartment in Delaware! I couldn’t yell at it because it was at my throat so I thought to it, “Fuck off” over and over and “Go away!” Finally it let go and I woke up.
Like I said I think the movie was a key, I’m still healing from hitting my head a few weeks ago, been skirting around a sinus infection and have been dealing with anger and depression a lot lately. We think the increased depression and anger was partially brought on by hitting my head like I did! Kicking my own ass! I am not thinking of this dream negatively. If anything it was an important reminder to stay in balance and not allow myself to slip too deeply into anger and depression. There are teachers in the light and the shadows.
The other dream that was interesting and I am not sure what brought this one on was about a man inviting some other men into a vault filled with paper money. Then these men were at the entrance to the vault completely naked yelling with their mouths, along with other orifices, stuffed with the money, “Damn you Gotti!” I have no idea why the mobster Gotti would have slipped in to my dreams! The closest thing to this I’ve seen was from American Horror Story Hotel.
