Hello there. How are you doing in your here and now as you visit me here? I hope you are well. Kyle and I didn’t sleep very well last night. One of those toss and turn kind of nights. One of us did dream and it was him for a change. He rarely remembers his dreams too lol. When we were in Half Price Books yesterday he said he had caught a brief glimpse of a book with a title like Treasures of the Olympics. In just one look it was in his dreams. I told him the dream machine is like the enigma to me. Our conscious waking moments are all keys to unlock the dream enigma machine. It takes just the right combination of these keys, sometimes quickly and sometimes over the course of a very long time, to unlock a dream. For me, sometimes it feels like I’m unlocking doors to other people’s minds and or heavens!
Here is the dream he had and I’m thrilled he allowed me to jot it down and share it:
From what he remembers and there are a lot of missing particulars, he went to a tiny island of sand and the American flag was flying there. After he arrived he had to climb some rocks. The ropes to the flag were made of fishing line and all tangled up. Someone was directing them on how to untangle the line. The flag started to rise and then he woke up. He said his view of the dream was like watching the Olympics on television. He said it was because he could see boxes of ads and information on the sides of the screen during what he was watching.
This dream was very symbolic to me. It feels like every time we get a tangle untangled in this country or even world, somebody has to come along and tangle it back up! Kyle is a welder and has said if Texas ever got the Olympics he’d love to be able to help create things for the events. Wouldn’t that be an incredible thing to be part of?!
This mornings drawings with Aretha Franklin and all those in this world who are sick in mind, body and spirit and need a prayer to either get well or have the courage to let go and move on. Drawing helps me manage my feelings about these things. I may not know her directly but I care. Honestly I have not closely kept up with her music and other endeavors but think she is an amazing human being. What a voice! Like the woman in my dream from the other day – too big to contain! I saw articles and pictures about Aretha’s condition yesterday and just couldn’t believe she’s down to just 85 lbs! I hope for her very best. My sentiments are the same for all in this world who are going through what she is right now. I think it’s beautiful she is surrounded by those who love and care about her:
