God has cared for these trees, saved them from drought, disease, avalanches, and a thousand tempests and floods. But he cannot save them from fools. John Muir

I never saw a discontented tree. They grip the ground as though they liked it, and though fast rooted they travel about as far as we do. John Muir

Just stopping by to say hello and share a couple late afternoon drawings.  It was another scorcher today – the sky was white instead of blue it was so hot.  From what I’ve seen, it seems we are all experiencing this pattern.  Rain with intermittent showers has been my prayer.   With such things it’s important to be a smidge more specific.  Texas has a tendency to either get ALOT of rain all at once or none at all.  I like it when the gentle rains come and soak the ground, take a break and then pick up again.  All will be well, just have to have faith in that.  The ones I worry about the most are the humans, trees, birds, insects and other beings that have to be outside in this all day long.

I haven’t been able to get a picture yet but tonight when I was out trying to get some water spread around, I was blessed with a tear making sight.  There was a whole gaggle of beautiful dragonflies at work in our yard!  Watching them filled my eyes with tears and my heart with love and gratitude.  See I had asked God for beings to come and help keep the mosquito population down.  Not only did God manifest swallows (amazing flyers, wonderful bug eating birds!), they also brought forth these amazing dragonflies.   It’s humbling to see what God does with prayers made without expectation.

Hope you are staying cool and hydrated.  Sending you positive vibes through the wires and on the winds we all share.

  1. https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/german-12-year-old-boy-plants-1million-trees-takes-over-un-program-to-plant-a-trillion-more/ – wonderful story I saw just now that gives me hope. Bless you Felix and all the youth working with you to make sure the spirit of the forests are strong!
“The world is a lot greener thanks to this 20-year-old and his army of “climate ambassadors” who have pledged to plant trees and use youth power to avert climate change.

Ever since he was 9 years old, Felix Finkbeiner has been an international figurehead for saving the planet. In 2007, the German youngster founded a global youth movement called “Plant for the Planet” – an initiative that trains and recruits kids from around the world to plant trees as a means of combatting climate change.

Since its creation, the movement has already made significant progress with the help of over 100,000 enthusiastic youth between the ages of 9 and 12—and he planted his one-millionth tree in Germany when he was just twelve. Alongside the Paris Agreement, Finkbeiner’s campaign is a formidable defense of the planet.”
