31 July 2018 Todays chalk drawings

Hi there.  How is your present moment going?  I hope everything is well for you and if it’s not that you have great support systems to help you navigate your way through whatever you are facing today.  Sometimes, and I am terrible about this, you have to set aside your pride and ask for help.  Sometimes the first step is just admitting you even need help at all….that’s a big first step.  I’ve had to do that one a few times for different things.

The drawings today aren’t anything spectacular.  I decided to draw out that darn dream I had last night that was so vivid for me.  My dark green pickup rendering sucks balls but I’ve never been that good at drawing cars! Lol.  Anyhew – sending you positive vibes and an invisible hug across the miles.

31 July 2018 New DNA info and Dreams

Hello to you.  Hope this finds you doing well today.  No drawings to share today as yesterday we had a nice visit with family and hopefully made a new friend!  My mother-in-law gave me some chalk she had bought for me at Easter so that will help with drawings today!

The weather yesterday was really pleasant because of the rain we received – helped cool things down!  My mother-in-law Beth made some bbq pulled pork in the crockpot and a blueberry crumble pie that was really good!  She also mixed up some more Chai Tea powder for my brother-in-laws girlfriend to try and take home with her.  It is really tasty and makes quite a bit for the amount of ingredients going in to it:

My mother-in-law Beth is our family genealogist, could probably make a sweet living doing it and she really enjoys doing it.  Well she let us know yesterday that Ancestry.com had done some updates to their system and how they analyze the DNA samples.  When we submitted our samples in 2016, they had may be 3,000 reference samples and now they have like 16,000 ref samples to compare and refine their data and the world map.  They now have 380 possible regions to work with – 17 new ones.  As they get more samples I’m sure they will be able to refine things even more.

Some interesting things happened for both Kyle and I.  Kyle is now more in line with the results his parents got and I am much more in alignment with what my Dad has found out in his genealogy research and the research my Grandma Becker had done prior to her death.  Grandma did her research on her father’s mother’s side of the family, the Maxfields and Huffs.  The furthest back she got was to a Samuel  Wylie of Scotch blood, who came to America from the north of Ireland in 1759 and died Oct 15, 1777.  His wife Mary died in 1798.  They had 5 children.  She didn’t have Ancestry.com and those type of search engines to use when she did her research either!  Very impressive I think!

Anyhew!  If you have an Ancestry.com account and have submitted a DNA sample and haven’t checked your account in awhile like we hadn’t, you might want to!  It’s really interesting finding out these sort of things as sometimes it gives you an insight about may be why you have tendencies or interests towards certain things.  For example why you like certain foods beyond just growing up eating them.

Jackie:

43% Germanic Europe, 36% England and Wales (increase of 31% from previous analysis!), 15% Eastern Europe and Russia, 4% Baltic States and 2% Ireland and Scotland (decrease by 5% from previous analysis).  Migrations:  Germans from Russia.  Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana Settlers.  No longer in estimates for me:  Scandanavia, Iberian Peninsula, Finland/Northwest Russia, Caucasus and European Jewish.

Kyle:

40% England and Wales, 34% Ireland and Scotland (was 41%), 21% Germanic Europe, 3% Baltic States and 2% Norway.  Migrations: New York settlers. No longer in estimates: Caucasus, Europe South, Iberian Peninsula, Africa North, Finland/Northwest Russia.

Interesting stuff.  Kyle and I found out with the research his mom has done that he’s related to, in the very distant cousins sense Mark Twain, Barak and Michelle Obama, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon and Donald Trump lol.  A lot of her family came over on the Mayflower so it makes sense.  On Kyle’s profile he’s got like 56 circles which amounts to like 26,000 or so people he’s some kind of relation to lol!  His mom has found so many interesting stories and has actually gone on to meet some living relatives in the area – extended, extended, very extended family but family!  I think it’s fantastic she’s doing this.  She’s almost got all her stuff together to become a member of the Mayflower society – pretty big deal:

https://www.themayflowersociety.org/ – link to the site

General Society of Mayflower Descendants

Founded in 1897

In 1620, a brave group of 102 men, women and children sailed across the Atlantic on the Mayflower, searching for a life of religious and civic freedom. To honor Pilgrim ancestors and keep their story alive, the General Society of Mayflower Descendants was created in 1897. Membership requires proof of lineage from one of the passengers who traveled to America on this historic voyage in 1620.
Through the years, the Mayflower Society has established a network of more than 150,000 descendants all over the world who form lifelong bonds, cherish the sacred memory of our ancestors and continue on their legacy through purpose, preservation, and education.

Celebrating the Pilgrim Spirit

More than one hundred years ago, a group of descendants of the Pilgrims who sailed on the Mayflower in 1620, saw the need for a national society to honor their memory. The intention was to remember these Pilgrims who established Plymouth Colony.

Today there are tens-of-millions of individuals descended from these brave souls. It is the goal of The Mayflower Society to join together people who share this heritage and to carry on the memory of our Pilgrim ancestors.

The Pilgrims

The group of 102 passengers who crowded aboard Mayflower for the crossing was not homogenous. Many of the passengers were members of the Leiden congregation, but they were joined by a number of English families or individuals who were hoping to better their life situations, or were seeking financial gain. These two general groups have sometimes been referred to as the “saints” and “strangers”.

Although the Leiden congregation had sent its strongest members with various skills for establishing the new colony, nearly half of the passengers died the first winter of the “great sickness.”

I had a lot of dreams last night.  None of them were about unicorns and rainbows – pretty intense.   I apologize if these are hard to follow but I like to write them down and share them to get them out of my head.

One was about a fight and the throwing of ketchup and mustard.  Then there was like being in an action movie.  I was warning some man about the maid and there was hiding in the place where there was a stack of white hotel towels.  (My brother-in-laws, father-in-law, Kyle and I got into a pretty intense “discussion” about the 2nd amendment and guns yesterday.  In the end, as always, we came away loving each other and agreeing to disagree.)

Then I dreamt about brushing our dog Sam who passed several years ago now.  There was blood and he had a weird bite or weird shaped imprint on his side that was bleeding.  I carried him past what seemed to be intelligent ants.  We crossed in front of a lions den/cave and I remembered being afraid the lion would come out and get Sam.   (My mother-in-law got bit in real  life yesterday by an ant and it upset me – trigger I guess!)

The dream before I woke up was something out of the movie Constantine.  In the dream I guess I was a demon hunter.  I had a dark green pick up I drove.  I found myself in a room with other people.  I fell asleep.  There was something about finding my purse and then this woman turning on all these super white round bulbs that filled the room.  I realized I wasn’t suppose to be there as I hadn’t paid for the class on aliens that seemed to be going on.  I tried to apologize to the woman.  She wouldn’t make eye contact with me.  She had very unusual non-human golden eyes.  She just came up to me and said in my ear, “Mind the original sin.”  As I walked out I said, “thank you angel” with emphasis on the angel part.  What was in my mind in the dream when she said what she did was “Thou shall not covet.”  I left this woman (angel) and room and was going to go over to a CVS across the street to get a Bible “to keep track of these things” but I didn’t make it.  I was back in the green truck.  The roads were filled with demons and billions of skulls just started rising up.  I was in a shitty apartment trying to explain my absences just before I woke up from this dream, I said, “I’m working.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_sin – this is just one of MANY explanations for the concept of original sin.  I have always had trouble with these concepts because it’s awful to think of living a life of never being good enough even after you die.  What’s the point of trying to be a good person then if you are already damned no matter what?!  They say the death of Christ was supposed to fix these problems but has it? I’ll leave it there.

Original sin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Depiction of the sin of Adam and Eve by Jan Brueghel the Elder and Pieter Paul Rubens.

Original sin, also called “ancestral sin“,[1] is a Christian belief of the state of sin in which humanity exists since the fall of man, stemming from Adam and Eve‘s rebellion in Eden, namely the sin of disobedience in consuming the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.[2] This condition has been characterized in many ways, ranging from something as insignificant as a slight deficiency, or a tendency toward sin yet without collective guilt, referred to as a “sin nature”, to something as drastic as total depravity or automatic guilt of all humans through collective guilt.[3]

The concept of original sin was first alluded to in the 2nd century by Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyon in his controversy with certain dualist Gnostics.[4] Other church fathers such as Augustine also developed the doctrine,[2] seeing it as based on the New Testament teaching of Paul the Apostle (Romans 5:12–21 and 1 Corinthians 15:21-22) and the Old Testament verse of Psalms 51:5.[5][6][7][8][9] Tertullian, Cyprian, Ambrose and Ambrosiaster considered that humanity shares in Adam’s sin, transmitted by human generation. Augustine’s formulation of original sin was popular among Protestant reformers, such as Martin Luther and John Calvin, who equated original sin with concupiscence (or “hurtful desire”), affirming that it persisted even after baptism and completely destroyed freedom, although Augustine said that free will was weakened but not destroyed by original sin.[2] The Jansenist movement, which the Catholic Church declared to be heretical, also maintained that original sin destroyed freedom of will.[10] Instead the Catholic Church declares “Baptism, by imparting the life of Christ’s grace, erases original sin and turns a man back towards God, but the consequences for nature, weakened and inclined to evil, persist in man and summon him to spiritual battle.”[11] “Weakened and diminished by Adam’s fall, free will is yet not destroyed in the race”[12]

30 July 2018 What a World

Hello.  How are you doing in your present moment?  I hope you are doing well…..so many are not.  Lots of fires, earthquakes, flooding and other manners of calamity going on all around us these days.

What are you doing to help yourself navigate these times?  It’s been harder for me lately but I have it easy compared to most everyone else I know.

There are people all over wearing multiple hats.  People in my neighborhood and beyond that are working so hard for themselves and their families – trying to be good people in this world.  In our midst so many hero’s!  In the above, middle and below of the strata of our existence so many trying to do their best in spite of all the obstructions put before them!

My thoughts, prayers and love go out to all our flesh and blood hero’s of today.  The police and fire departments, the hospice workers, the nurses, the doctors, the first responders, our veterans and those leaders of the many positive walks of faith at work in their churches, temples and communities.   A few may fall short and disappoint us, but most all of them try so hard!  It takes very special people to answer the call of service before self.

Every person on this earth, trying to make the world a better place each day is a hero in my book!

7:58 am have to pause – as I’m writing I’m hearing the patter of rain!  Oh thank goodness!  Living here in North Texas you just don’t take rain in the summer for granted!  Imagining all those cracks in the yards getting filled!  The skin of the earth getting some healing balm!

This morning on my Facebook I was reminded that I had shared this post from a friend a year ago.  I have tried to find the source book it’s from and haven’t found it yet.  I want to read the rest of the book lool!   When I read this it made me think that no matter what your vision or path to the God of your understanding or in some cases no God at all, when you were manifested a seed was planted within you…..a seed planted with love.  I know some would say their origin story doesn’t feel anything like that.  Way too many have an origin story rooted in violence….but yet you are here….you have a purpose and there is a place for you.   You just have to find it and there are many to help with this quest!   I hope you choose a positive path.  Remember, life is all about choices!

MARIPOSA COUNTY

Crews continue to fight to keep Ferguson Fire away from Yosemite and populated areas

The Ferguson Fire continues to grow– consuming more than 800 acres on Sunday. As of Monday morning, it is 56,659 acres and is 30-percent contained.

Firefighters are working to secure the southeast quadrant of the fire to keep it from spreading into Yosemite National Park and the more populated areas south of the park.

Residents can expect to see increased smoke during the next few days as these fire operations continue.

While the Ferguson Fire continues its slow growth, those working the fire lines are also in mourning. Another one of their own was killed while on the job fighting the flames in Mariposa County.

Brian Hughes, 33, lost his life when he and his crew were conducting a tactical firing operation on the east side of the fire. During that operation, he was struck by a tree. He was treated on scene, but died before he could make it to the hospital.

This comes just 16 days after Cal Fire Heavy Equipment Operator Braden Varney was killed on the job.

Dozens lined the streets of the town of Mariposa and Merced Sunday to pay their final respects to Hughes. A procession led the firefighter’s body from the Mariposa Airport to the Stanislaus County Coroners Office.

Fire personnel escorted his body through the city of Merced.

29 July 2018 Light bulb, dirt, drawings and Training our Trains of Thought (Daily Good, Kristi Nelson gratefulness.org)

Hello to you.  Hope this finds you well.  I’m not running on all my cylinders this morning lol.  So many dreams last night my head is hurting this morning.  A couple woke me up.  One in particular had to do with of all things a old school light bulb!  This image came to mind after I woke up to jot a note about it.

Image result for Alexander Grayson light bulb

Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Alexander Grayson in NBC’s Dracula (saw trailer for Netflix’s animated Castlevania Season 2 yesterday – looks intense!)

Castlevania: Season 2 | Official Trailer [HD] | Netflix

Anyhew!  Yesterday I made an unpleasant discovery on the back side of our house.  There is a huge gap/hole where there is no dirt between the foundation of our house and the ground!  It’s where they had to do foundation repairs a couple of years ago.  So we definitely are going to have to buy dirt to fill those gaps back up!  It would explain why we’ve been feeling and hearing so much from the road inside the house lately.  It’s all part of the erosion problem I’ve mentioned we have here.  People have been watering a lot more and I know it doesn’t matter how much you water if you don’t have any dirt.  I honestly don’t know how stuff grows here with this sort of soil!

There was a lot of drawing yesterday but I’ve been having trouble.  The colors are all running together in the box when I go to use them.  I need more variations and darker colors to give my drawings dimension and texture.  Many of them are seeming “flat.”  It’s probably because I tend to use up the darker, more vibrant colors before the other more bland and neutral colors.  Now I’m left with the others lool.   Plus it’s just hot and my imagination and creativity levels have been lacking.   I’ve been very tired and just wanting to sleep.

Hope this finds you well in your here and now and that you are loved and loving.  It’s hard these days, but stay connected to the space in you, your heart space,  that helps you see this world with more forgiving eyes.  It’s something I’m having to practice mindfulness about pretty much every day!

Gratitude for the present moment and the fullness of life now is true prosperity. –Eckhart Tolle

Training Our Trains of Thought

–by Kristi Nelson, syndicated from gratefulness.org, Nov 24, 2017

Difficult mental and emotional patterns can teach us a lot about developing positive patterns, if we approach our tendencies mindfully, compassionately, and with gratefulness.

I used to be a person who, though unusually optimistic and resilient in many ways, could often be prone to a negative train of thought I now playfully refer to as “awful-izing.” I have also heard this propensity called “catastrophizing.” Regardless, once aboard this train, it can take you a long way down some dark tracks before you realize you are not at all where you hoped or intended to be.

The distinguishing qualities of a negative train of thought would be somewhat as follows:

Something difficult or disappointing happens, or we hear some “bad” news. This is the “engine.” Negative thoughts and/or feelings begin attaching themselves to responding to this event, like cars on a train.

After a period of repetitive indulgence, the negative thoughts and beliefs begin building a story and making a case to prove themselves true and/or worthy, and the engine starts chugging down the tracks.

Like a big magnet, the original negative thought starts seeking and amassing all forms of reinforcing experiences, data, and external validation – picking up more train cars along the way.

Then, unconsciously, we can begin to act in ways that corroborate and buttress our negative beliefs, creating additional reasons and reinforcing experiences to justify a dour outlook.

Finally, with way too many moments (hopefully not hours or days) slipped by, we can find ourselves with a big, brooding, bummed-out, self-righteous worldview with which to contend. Station Stop: The Blues. Next Stop: The Dumps.

And we wonder, “How did I get here?”

I admit my awfulizing tendency somewhat tentatively, but also assured that I am not the only person occasionally prone to these kinds of “habits of mind.” I also share this because I believe that difficult mental and emotional patterns can teach us a lot about developing positive patterns, if we approach our tendencies mindfully, compassionately, and with gratefulness.

The essential insight—that thoughts and feelings come and go, and that we may have thoughts, but they do not have us—can spark a small revolution in anyone open to the teaching.

Mindfulness helps us to stop in our tracks, and take a breath. It wakes us up out of sleepwalking or escalating our way through life, and develops and deepens our capacity for awareness in the moment. Mindfulness helps us watch the mind without judging, or getting carried away with a story about how its thoughts are good or bad, inappropriate or anything other than simply thoughts arising and fading away. The essential insight—that thoughts and feelings come and go, and that we may have thoughts, but they do not have us—can spark a small revolution in anyone open to the teaching. Seeing each thought or feeling as what it is and temporary, mindfulness can help keep identification with our mental states at bay, contain an emotional drama, allow for self-compassion, and even help slow a careening locomotive.

Gratefulness incorporates and builds on mindfulness; once we have paused, it purposefully shifts our awareness into direct curiosity, focus, and action, and can help re-direct the mind’s attention toward something at those moments when a shift in attention – or change of tracks – is called for.

Grateful living can help to re-train the neural pathways that looked for something wrong to now look for things that are going well, or at least to identify opportunities available to us.

Grateful living practices do an extraordinary job of filling space where habits of mind such as awfulizing leave off; they move adeptly through the same neural pathways that negative thought patterns lay down in our minds and find their groove on the same tracks. By offering a replacement focus for our attention, grateful living can help to re-train the neural pathways that looked for something wrong to now look for things that are going well, or at least to identify opportunities available to us. Where we once may have sought to reinforce a sense of scarcity, we begin to more readily look for, and see, what is sufficient in our lives. A focus on unmet expectations can be replaced by a greater focus on lifting up appreciation. And when we are longing for more reasons to be happy, turning our attention to notice what we already have, and are grateful for, can truly be a turn-around.

The way I see it, I am built with the ability to know how to orient toward a positive train of thought precisely because of my experience with awfulizing. I clearly already have the established mental musculature for:

– allowing a thought or feeling to impact me deeply,

– directing my attention to notice everything that reinforces that thought,

– carrying the thought-pattern through to a powerful destination,

– getting good at a habit through repeated practice.

Given that our minds and feelings are capable of taking us on great adventures at a moment’s notice, hopping aboard a grateful train of thought may be a good way to keep ourselves focused and on track…

Trains of thought have significant impact, no matter which ones we ride. Knowing that we have the capacity to direct and re-direct our attention, and committing to practices which help us to remember and strengthen this capacity, is empowering. As I have become increasingly invested in reducing suffering in my life and in the world, I know that getting myself habituated to new ways of traveling is necessary.

Gratefulness as a “habit of mind,” and living gratefully as a way of being, awaken us to notice and nourish the things in life for which we are truly appreciative, but often take for granted. Given that our minds and feelings are capable of taking us on great adventures at a moment’s notice, hopping aboard a grateful train of thought may be a good way to keep ourselves focused and on track, and to actually end up where we had intended and hoped to be.

27 July 2018 The Mystery

Hello to you.  I’m doing  post this evening and probably going to take this weekend off.  These drawings are my way of working through what I’m feeling about the headlines I’ve been seeing lately with regards to death be it natural causes like Chiyo’s or as in the case of Ellie Soutter not so natural….downright suspicious even.  I can’t get my brain around why Ellie took her own life just before her 18th birthday party.  My condolences go out to all those who knew and loved her.  The same sentiment goes for those who knew and loved Chiyo….anyone on this planet who died today.

There is no understanding suicide.  I’m several years from my Mother and her father’s ‘s suicide and know there never will be an answer to satisfy me or anyone else who knew and loved them.  There is no definitive understanding of death….specifically the life that comes after.  There may be all the scientific answers and clinical explanations for why, how and what death is but none of those ever give those left behind closure or peace.  As far as I can tell thus far, no matter the way death comes,  it is and will always remain the ultimate mystery.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Confused? Frustrated? Mercury in retrograde this week

This is a big week for anyone into the zodiac or who leans toward the more astrological mindset because tiny Mercury goes into retrograde today.

Astronomers debunk any Earthly wonkiness that may occur during Mercury’s apparent backward travel through the night sky. It is actually an illusion that the solar system’s smallest planet appears to put its gears in reverse moving east to west through the stars.

Nonetheless, all manner of hijinks are attributed to this galactic magic trick, including confusion, delays, miscommunication and frustration.

Even a bad date, or a poor work presentation is blamed on Mercury’s apparent backwards slide.

“The planet Mercury rules communication, travel, contracts, automobiles, and such,” says The Old Farmer’s Almanac. “So, when Mercury is in retrograde, remain flexible, allow time for extra travel, and avoid signing contracts. Review projects and plans at these times, but wait until Mercury is direct again to make any final decisions.”

27 July 2018 Dreams, Drawings and Prince

Hello to you.  I hope this finds you well in the moment you are in as you visit here.  Yesterday I was out drawing quite a bit even though it was hot.  It was just enough not as hot as the past days to make it fairly comfortable.  This morning it is overcast, cooler and there is talk of rain in our forecast.  I really hope we do get a bit of rain, not too much at once of course!

Lots of dreams last night – shopping of one sort or another lol.  I hate shopping for the most part so that was weird.  I was apparently looking to find a ruby or red stone ring and was all over the place with that.  Some of the places seemed familiar like vendors at the Holistic Fair that had crystals, jewelry shops etc.  Wouldn’t that be funny if we had favorite places in our dreams and could go back to them if we wanted to?  Anyhew…no find the ring.  The key behind this is a ring in the Pyramid catalog that caught my eye but I am not going to buy it.  I want to use that money to pay for me to get as much picture space as I want here on WordPress instead lol!  Plus I don’t need anymore jewelry!

So there was that and then the funny one was with Kyle and I going to this HUGE outdoor flea market like place.  Stuff was spread out for miles on this property.  Well Kyle had his heart set on bidding on the rocking chair of some old race car driver!  I told Kyle about this and he laughed because it isn’t like him to want such a think in our world.  He used to like to watch NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon until he retired.

The dream before I woke up involved my Dad and a beaded necklace.  He was showing me a stretchy beaded necklace.  It was like he was teaching me something about making it.  I woke up thinking how proud I was to learn something from my Dad.  I have had my Dad on my mind a lot and I think the necklace bit is my mind adding the last bit of The Hobbit when Bilbo gives away a necklace the was given to the Elvenking Thranduil out of gratitude for food and drink.

I hope something here is what you were looking for, is helpful to you somehow today.  Sending you lots of positive vibes through the wires and on the winds (and hopefully gentle rains) that connect us all.

26 July 2018 Drawings, soil erosion, Alvarado Animal Shelter losing ACO’s and Sneaking

Hello to you.  How are you?  I am trying to stay positive but it’s getting hard again.  We have a divet in the road behind our house and every single truck with a trailer that goes over it makes a crashing sound.  One actually caused the house to vibrate and shake this morning with makes me anxious about the other thing going on in our neighborhood – erosion.  They can’t fix the road right now because of the heat.  We have lost a lot of soil underneath the roads, driveways and our houses in our neighborhood over the past few years since we moved here.  I am trying not to think about it, but I am afraid of what could happen should we lose too much more soil – sinkhole comes to mind.   Your mind goes to those places when the road beneath your feet wobbles and it’s not an earthquake.

Yesterday I found out the two Animal Control Officers at our shelter here in Alvarado are “leaving to persue other opportunities” which I read as a polite way of saying, “we quit.”  I can’t blame them.  I’m very sad about this because these two ladies try to so hard – actually love and care all of the animals put in their care.  It seems like they have had very little support from the city but I can’t say for sure.  It just seems like they are always having to  beg the public for food and supplies to feed and care for the animals.  They have had to work so hard at trying to find homes for dogs they will otherwise have to euthanize because the shelter is overcrowded.  They keep getting dogs being dumped or that escape because they are in some cases being neglected.  Recently there have been lots of kittens and puppies that are products of animals not being spayed or neutered.  They are currently conducting a “clear the shelter” effort so there are few if no animals in the shelter before they leave.  I wish them the very best and truly hope the  person(s) that they find to replace them will be half as committed as they have been:

Call (817) 239-4401

Our two Animal Control Officers are leaving to pursue new opportunities. With that being said, we would like to clear the shelter ASAP. Please visit the shelter page and see if there are any animals you may be interested in. Our goal is to leave the shelter empty.

The shelter is NOT closing down, and all animals will still receive care, but it will take the city time to hire someone new. This means they will not have someone devoted to them 100% of the time. That is why we are trying to get everyone out of the shelter before we leave. Please help us!!!! Thanks in advance!!!

What happens when dogs and cats are allowed to breed unchecked.

The other thing is getting my AT & T bill for wireless services (a phone we seldom if ever use) this morning and seeing they raised the price on us, without notification, by $5.35 – $91.78.  We are paying $72.83 (right now, guess that will be going up too) for Internet.   So we are paying $164.61 a month.  What really pisses me off is they don’t consider the Internet a utility but without it you can’t do shit!  It’s kind of what Wells Fargo did with our monthly mortgage payments.  They raised that too without letting us know.  This after we refinanced and were hoping to have lower payments.

This morning I read that in Michigan the Republican party is plotting some gerrymandering: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/emails-show-michigan-republicans-scheming-to-gerrymander-garbage-dems/ar-BBL4MIg – Emails Show Michigan Republicans Scheming To Gerrymander ‘Garbage Dems’

Gerrymandering

In the process of setting electoral districts, gerrymandering is a practice that attempts to establish a political advantage for a particular party or group by manipulating district boundaries to create partisan-advantaged districts. The resulting district apportionment is known as a gerrymander; however, that word can also refer to the process.

Who else is “sneaking” around in business, medicine, religion and politics?!  It almost seems like a virus going around it is so prevalent!  Kyle came up with a visual to describe this phenomenon a couple of years ago.  Imagine a person flipping you off (giving you the middle finger) and then taking a dinner plate and slowly raising it so you can’t see them flipping you off anymore and saying to you, “Look at the plate.”  Meanwhile they are still insulting you right in front of your face…you just can’t see anything but the plate.

Smeagol – Sneaking

Samwise Gamgee suspects Smeagol/Gollum of sneaking…

Sam: What are you up to? Sneaking off, are we?

Smeagol: Sneaking? Sneaking? Fat Hobbit is always so polite. Smeagol shows them secret ways that nobody else could find and they say “sneak.” Sneak? Very nice friend. Oh, yes, my precious. Very nice, very nice.

Sam: All right. All right! You just startled me is all. What were you doing?

Smeagol: Sneaking.

Sam: Fine. Have it your own way.

More Than A Dozen Indigenous Women Went Missing In Montana In 2018

Jul 20, 2018

Yet another Indigenous woman has gone missing in the Mountain West.

Jermaine Charlo disappeared near a grocery store in Missoula, Montana last month. The 23-year-old is the 13th native woman to go missing in the state since January.

“Each day that goes by is more concerning that her welfare is compromised or she’s in a situation that’s not a good one for her,” said detective Guy Baker of the Missoula Police Department.

Native American women face some of the highest violence and sexual assault rates in the country, but there is no nationwide tally of the number of missing or murdered Indigenous women in the U.S. because the Federal Bureau of Investigation isn’t really tracking it.

24 July 2018 Finished painting, chalk drawings (Kate’s bracelets – dream) and Orgone

23 July 2018 – Kyle’s painting is finished! I am so pleased he did this with me.  Cried happy tears a couple of times yesterday lol.  There is so much going on!  There are colors of the Irish flag (he’s 41% Irish), dragon scales, blue blood (royal bloodlines on his Mom’s side), our wedding colors of black and white, hearts, purple of unity.  He is calling it Times Heart.

23 July 2018 – This one is about how the water on the ground goes back up in the sky.  The cycle of water.

23 July 2018 – This one is inspired by me thinking about being out in my swim suite in the pouring rain.  I was trying to actively visualize relief from this drought!!

R A I N = 42/6/3 cycle (life, death, rebirth) – of course!

23 July 2018 – The pencil and pen drawing I did so I have a tangible reference. I’m thinking this would be a neat painting to do.

23 July 2018 – Side by side. You can probably see why I like chalk – it’s more forgiving and softer.

23 July 2018 – This drawing has cycles, the water table and solar flare going on. When I start drawing stuff like this I just put it on the slab. My imagination is not entirely my own.

23 July 2018 – This morning I realized the side ways canoe of space ship design correlated to a dream I had just before waking this morning!  I had a dream about a little girl named Kate who looked a bit like Eleven from Stranger Things.  She was working on some healing bracelets like ones I’ve really made before out of copper wire.  The metal was like copper but a more advanced alloy.  I can remember seeing her face on a large computer tablet.  She was working with a young man who I shook hands with.  I had made three separate bracelets of my own.  Just before I woke up he showed me a quarter turn that was needed to put them into one bracelet that would work like the one’s Kate was working on.  The bracelet completed look like the center part of this drawing.

23 July 2018 – Sometimes I just draw these people together. When I finished I heard “Th” so I added it. Kind of like “9th” I guess?

24 July 2018 – I found this in the yard yesterday when I was walking around. It’s one of the first pieces of orgonite I made. I had made it into a pendant for a time but it was too heavy. I find myself wondering what else am I going to find I put in the yard?! https://saymber.com/2015/06/11/11-june-2015-wilhelm-reich-and-orgonomy-by-ola-raknes-its-in-the-structure/

https://orgonomicscience.org/  – this is a link to The Institute For Orgonomic Science which is dedicated to the work of Dr. Wilhelm Reich which included research to try to treat and cure cancer.

Reich now turned to exploring micro-organisms, to see if the energy measured in humans could also be detected on the cellular level. By this point Reich had left the university for a well-funded private laboratory. He first published the results of his experiments in “Dialectical Materialism in Life-Research. Report on the Bion Experiments” (1937). This was followed by the book, Die Bione – Zur Entstehung des vegetativen Lebens (The Bions: On the Origin of Vegetative Life)  (1938).

Briefly, bions are microscopic vesicles, seen as transitional entities between the non-living and the living; these vesicles move in ways that cannot be explained by purely mechanical movement (Brownian movement); they form more readily if the solution is heated in a way that should kill any spores or “air germs”; and they are often seen to have a blue edge to them–those with the strongest electrical charge have the greatest motility, pulsation and bluish color. Bions prepared under sterile conditions with a strong electrical charge could also be successfully sub-cultured.

This description of bions is in no way complete, but should give the reader a rudimentary idea of their nature. Their discovery played a central role in Reich’s realization that the energy phenomenon he was observing was not electricity as conventionally understood, but a distinct biological energy, which he came to call orgone energy in 1939.

23 July 2018 The stranger

Hello to you.  How are you in your here and now?  The present moment you are sitting in as you visit here?  What I’ve been seeing in my own life and in  our shared existence is a struggle.   People struggling with their personal demons, work, homes, families, communities, churches, governments and with the environment itself.  It is the cause and effect, the push and pull….the balancing act between the light and shadows of our  nature that we call life.

For the longest time I have had trouble with accepting life isn’t just about contentment, peace and happiness all the time.  Why can’t we just experience the “flow” of existence without any entanglements along the way?!  What I have come to understand for myself is without struggles of some sort in my life I become complacent and learn very little about myself or others.  I get stagnant, bored and apathy sets in. I begin to feel almost non-existent or transparent even.  It’s not that I want to have a lot of struggles and drama in my life.  I just know how I feel when some sort of struggle, challenge, or purpose is absent.  My life is reduced to existing….barely living at all.

A part of me becomes a stranger if I am not vigilant.

Is it our current ways of communicating with others and retrieving information?  Being able to click and have a steady stream of struggle and purpose fed into our senses.

I have found for myself that it is in the moments of my unplugging from the world, when the green flickering lights of the internet box is off, the stranger appears.   The one that takes me outside and sits with me under our little oak tree and we listen to and watch the birds, cicada’s, dragonflies, flies, wasps and other winged beings in their personal struggles of survival in this sometimes hostile place.  We feel the faint breeze still hot from the day flowing through our fingers.  We look up at the clouds and pray for rain.  We cry for a world there is little we can do anything about but pray and meditate for.

The stranger within responds with love to the stranger unseen.  All too soon our moment of getting reacquainted is over.  Our time ends as the sun finally goes to bed wrapping itself in a blanket of purple, blue, pink and gold.

We are not alone in the struggles of this life when worldly distractions are set aside.   It the middle of countless vibrating particles of energy, the “lines” of time,  is the “stranger.”

22 July 2018 – I was thinking of the collective mind/consciousness floating above the earth in the clouds. The mirror was to get more light on the drawing. What’s interesting to me is in my attempt to get more light there is a reflection – like the consciousness having to look at and “reflect” on itself!

The most useful tool is a substitution cipher where each letter of the alphabet is represented by a number which corresponds to that letter’s position in the alphabet. In simplest terms, this can be written as A=1, B=2 … Z=26. Since A is the first letter of the alphabet, it is represented by the number 1. B, the second letter, is represented by 2. Z, the last of the 26 letters in the alphabet, is represented by 26.
