30 June 2018 Island of the Moon (Painting)

Hello fellow travelers.  I decided to tap into my inner Bob Ross (happy little trees painter) today and try to put to canvas my Island of the Moon dream:

https://saymber.com/2018/05/31/31-may-2018-dads-birthday-and-bela-lugosi-in-my-dreams/

In this dream I was with another person and we were waiting to see someone.  Then there was this beautiful scene of an island with trees and a glowing bright full moon behind it (what is cool is our actual moon is full right now, saw it this morning!).  Then all the sudden there was Bela in theater makeup!  He examined my wrists and the bracelets I was wearing as a sort of payment for this visit.  After examining them, he could see I was attached to the bracelets and didn’t take them.  He then let me talk to him about all the stuff that had been going on the past couple of months.  He just smiled at me and was so kind.  I woke up shortly after this.  I didn’t want to leave!

Sometimes I wish there was a way to push a button when your dreaming and capture an image so you could see it when you wake up lol.  The “island of the moon” I’ll call it was so beautiful.  The image is still stuck in my head as I write this!

Island of the Moon – (Jackie)

There is a place we shall meet where the moon is always glowing

Where the old ones take familiar forms

For how long there is no knowing.

Reality slipping slowly on the tides of the Island of the Moon

There sits the charming Bela Lugosi

Bathing in moonbeams in it’s glowing lagoon.

I messed up the background and there is A LOT OF BLUE in this but I love it.  Kyle approved of it and it’s now hanging in our bedroom.   We both really like the many different shades of blue so it’s perfect for us lol.  The vision changed a bit from the original one of just having Bela alone on the island.  To fix the mistake that happened between the trees, it was like a portal opened from the moon to that spot and I put my astral self there lol.   I need a lot more practice doing this painting thing.  Paint isn’t as forgiving as when I do my chalk drawings but it sure is fun to try.  I use my fingers a lot LOL!  Blasphemy right?!

30 June 2018 Sunshine

Good morning to you.  Least it’s morning yet here as I write to you.  How are you?  I hope you are well in your where and when.  My drawing today lead me to the word sunshine and I found some interesting things.  We are never too young or too old to learn something new.  To find another way to appreciate the gift that is this life….this earth.   Sending you love, hugs and lots of positive vibes through these cords, wires and electric flares.

The world will be balanced when we are balanced.

More sunshine ahead as roads melt and hosepipe ban begins in Northern Ireland

Press Association 2018

Roads melted, train tracks reached 49C (120.2F) and a hosepipe ban came into force as the UK basks in the scorching heatwave.

The first hosepipe ban began in Northern Ireland at 6pm on Friday, with plenty more hot sunshine forecast for the coming days.

Northern Ireland Water said demand was outstripping supply, leaving them with no option but to bring in the ban in order to save water.

Elsewhere across the UK consumers are being urged to take simple steps to reduce the amount of water they use.

The meaning of the term “sunshine law” was unfamiliar to me.  When I put sunshine in my search engine, the phrase came up a lot in regards to business.

Sunshine laws are regulations requiring openness in government or business. Sunshine laws make meetings, records, votes, deliberations and other official actions available for public observation, participation and/or inspection.

29 June 2018 Appreciation

Hello!  Hope this finds you well in your now as you visit.  We are doing pretty good here.  Sleep hasn’t been coming to either us very easily lately.  We almost missed the narrow window this morning before it gets too hot to take the dogs for a walk!  Kyle had woke up around 3 am and decided to watch The Last Jedi and he wasn’t real impressed with it.  He said it was very slow and it felt like they had a lot of good ideas that they didn’t get put together very well.  Glad I stayed in bed then!

How do you show your appreciation when someone compliments you, gives you something or just does something nice for you?  This morning I did a simple drawing and got the most humorous form of appreciation I could ask for my effort from our dear Link.  He decided it looked like a lovely rug and went and sprawled out on it.  I was too slow to get a picture of that part but did get these pictures of him in his new outfit!  He was so proud of himself.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. John F. Kennedy

28 June 2018 For You

Hello to you.  Just a quick note.  I hope you can make out the picture from this morning.  I like to draw when there is shade on that side of the house so my pictures don’t come out as bright as I’d like.  I tried doing a trick with a metal tray like in The Fifth Element movie – “Aziz Light!”  – but it didn’t work lool.

The Fifth Element – Aziz Light!

An important thing I keep having to remember is when I do things like my drawings, this blog or whatever to do it for myself first.  I have to check my motivation for doing things.  There have been times in my life when I have done things for others expecting something in return and all I got out of the deal was a resentment!  My husband has taught me during the course of our marriage the important lesson of living without expectations.   If you are going to do something, make sure you are doing it for the right reasons.

Life is short and we have not too much time
for gladdening the hearts of those
who are traveling the dark way with us.
Oh, be swift to love! Make haste to be kind.

28 June 2018 Drawings, Moon Pics, Headlines Like Cubes and Extreme Empathy (Daily Good)

Hello to you.  How are you?  I hope you are well.   We are getting our car back today….Yay!  It’s the little things right?!

The moon is full and was just so lovely last night.  I got four new mosquito bites to get these LOL!

This morning when I was looking at the headlines on MSN I started thinking about those nightmare cubes from the Cabin in the Woods movie.  If I click on any of the boxes in front of me, some nightmare is contained in there to come at me!

The Cabin in the Woods – Cubes

Not all the news is negative and I’m usually able to find positive things to find out about but it seems harder to do.  The Daily Good website (http://www.dailygood.org/) and others like it help remind me there is a lot of good, a lot of “heart” yet going on in this world.

http://www.dailygood.org/story/2016/i-feel-you-the-surprising-power-of-extreme-empathy-knowledge-wharton/if you are interested about the subject of empathy, you will find this informative.

Excerpt:

Knowledge@Wharton: I wonder if we are born with a certain level of empathy.

“I don’t think that there’s a finite amount [of empathy] that you’re given at birth. But I do think that there are people that are born with a disability.”–Cris Beam

Beam: There’s some research that suggests that, when we look at sociopaths and psychopaths who are supposedly born without it. It’s hard to make that overarching judgment that some people are born with it and some people are born without it. I do think that it can grow. If it’s modeled for you, you can learn empathy. You can absorb it. You can become a more empathetic person if you are treated empathically. So, I don’t think that there’s a finite amount [of empathy] that you’re given at birth. But I do think that there are people that are born with a disability [of not having it].

I send you love, a hug and mega positive vibes through the wires!  If you are suffering in in some sort of “nightmare cube” of an existence right now, I hope there will be a loving, healing, positive way out for you.

27 June 2018 It’s Hot and CO2 Shortage in Europe

27 June 2018 – This being came out of the chalk this hot afternoon. When I draw someone like this I’m not trying to be creepy. These beings without eyes can see without traditional eyesight. This “man” felt like someone peeking in from an another dimension.

Hello to you.  Hope this finds you well in mind, body and spirit.  It’s hot here in North Texas again, 98 degrees!  I feel terrible for all those who have to be out in this for their jobs!  I am not a fan of summer in Texas at all.  This recent stretch of hot with little to no rain reminds me just how much I dislike it and how much I miss dips in my father-in-laws salt water swimming pool!  He would get the chemistry just right and it was so refreshing to soak when it was hot like this.  When they moved to the country, the in ground pool stayed behind.  I’ve thought more than once about getting one of those kiddie pools but talk myself out of it every time.  Knowing my luck I’d forget to empty it and grow a bunch of mosquitos LOL!!  I’d be miserable from the heat AND itchy bites!

Speaking of water, we just got our water turned back on in the house.  They had to shut it down for a few hours today to clear the lines or something after doing a necessary repair.  May be my toilet will flush properly now lol!  Yay and thank you to the people who fixed it!

There is very little in this life that you can afford to take for granted.  Like running water in your house and also a working car.

We are still waiting for Ford to call us about our car repair.  We made an appointment a week in advance.  They had the car all day Monday and didn’t even look at it or call us to tell us anything.  We are going on the third full day of what we are calling the “hostage situation.”   They finally called us yesterday to let us know what the ransom was going to be and what was going on with the car.  We paid for a bumper to bumper warranty on our Ford Fiesta when we bought it new and the repair is under warranty and yet they still are finding a way to get money out of us.  What the *f—k did I pay for?!  Should of bought another Hyundai!

So getting back to my heart space from being hot and grumpy!  I’m grateful we have water.  I’m grateful we have a place to get the car fixed.  I’m grateful that we even have a car at all.

Gratitude

“Sometimes

 I go about pitying

 Myself

While I am carried by the wind

 Across the sky.”

I’m grateful not to have to worry about the C02 crisis, I had never heard of such a thing until today!  I can’t imagine what would happen in America if people were faced with the possibility of being without soda and beer this time of year!

Here’s what you need to know about the big European carbon dioxide shortage

Will your investment portfolio and taste buds survive the big European carbon dioxide shortage of 2018?

Brewers, along with producers of soft drinks, chicken and other packaged foods, have been grappling this month with a hit to CO2 supplies.

It’s coming at a tricky time, as temperatures are climbing and soccer fans are flooding to pubs, bars and restaurants to watch the World Cup.

Here’s what the summertime shortage could mean for shareholders in beverage companies — and for regular thirsty folks.

What the fizz?

Trade publication Gasworld first reported last week about the “worst supply situation to hit the European carbon-dioxide business in decades,” adding that the U.K. appeared to be the hardest-hit country. CO2 is used to put the fizz into beer and soft drinks, and it helps extend the shelf life of poultry and other meat.

Ammonia plants serve as a major source of food-grade CO2 in Europe, as the gas is a byproduct. But ammonia is manufactured for use in fertilizer products, and there is less demand for those from farmers in summer. So such plants regularly shut down in April through June, that industry’s slow period, Gasworld noted.

“What has compounded the situation this year is not only the timing of all the maintenance procedures, but that ammonia market prices have fallen to a low and imports are available from outside of Western Europe,” the trade publication reported.

That has led to European producers prolonging the downtime for ammonia plants. In addition, higher prices for natural gas NGN18, +1.40%  — a major raw material for ammonia manufacture — have crimped profit margins and provided another reason to stay shut down. Technical problems at some plants also helped the situation become “critical,” according to Gasworld.

How long will it last?

The supply crunch looks set to improve, the trade journal reported more recently. “I do not expect to see any severe shortages of beer or fizzy drinks. Some of the big branded breweries have their own CO2 recovery and production, so they can keep on producing beers and lagers,” said John Raquet, the trade publication’s founder and CEO.

How is it affecting companies?

From Coca-Cola Co. KO, -0.53% to Heineken NV HEIA, -0.12% HEINY, -1.15%  , key companies have said they’ve been affected by the CO2 shortage in Europe.

“We are currently responding to an industry-wide issue that is impacting the supply of CO2 in the U.K.,” said Coca-Cola in an email to MarketWatch.

“During this period, we’ve paused some of our production lines for short periods, however there has been no disruption to supply to date and we are continuing to fulfill orders to our customers,” the company added.

Heineken has warned British pubs about low supplies for two of its popular beers — Amstel lager and John Smith’s bitter. “We’ve been informed by our CO2 supplier that they are facing a major issue with supply availability in the U.K.,” a spokeswoman for the Dutch brewer told the Wall Street Journal.

A.G. Barr PLC BAG, -0.58%  , known for the Irn-Bru soft drink that’s popular in Scotland, sounds like it’s managing to weather the shortage. It has confirmed that it is “producing normally” at the moment, as it’s “benefiting from the decision to increase CO2 storage last year,” said Numis Securities analyst Damian McNeela in a recent note.

Another U.K. soft-drinks company, Britvic PLC BVIC, +1.30% has said it will see an impact, but has indicated that it is working closely with suppliers to help mitigate the problem, as well as seeking to secure alternative supplies of CO2, according to McNeela.

What does it mean for affected companies?

The Numis Securities analyst said he’s not changing his predictions for the beverage companies that he covers

“Clearly, this shortage comes as the industry moves into peak seasonal demand and, if the situation remains unresolved, could be a negative catalyst for earnings for all companies in our coverage universe” McNeela said. “However, given that the potential impact is difficult to quantify at the moment, we have made no changes to forecasts.”

One thing that beer drinkers can do

CO2 isn’t used in old-fashioned real ales, which are naturally carbonated in casks or bottles by the live yeast they contain, noted Paul Davies, a Heard on the Street columnist for the Wall Street Journal.

So beer drinkers visiting London might want to try these ales.

“The British are famous for serving up warm, flat beer — or at least you think they are,” wrote Davies, as he also said: “Warmer, flatter beers might be making a big return after all.”

26 June 2018 Ramandu and Lilliandil (Drawing – The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis)

A quick hello to you.  How are you doing?  I hope you are well.  Everybody was in my thoughts and prayers this morning.  Turns out the drawing from yesterday that was to be a lion but ended up looking almost like a pool was indeed a good place for praying and meditating!  I had used some of the chalk with glitter and it makes this sparkle like the surface of a pool of water when the light hits is just so.

25 June 2018 – This started out as a lion. I was thinking of Aslan. I wasn’t happy with how it looked so this happened lol. When I sat in front of it, it was actually great for meditating. A lion becoming color and light!

I was inspired in my drawing this morning to try and render an image of Ramandu, a resting star and his daughter Lilliandil.  There is something wonderful about books, especially stories like C.S. Lewis wrote, that stir the imagination.  Some characters and stories are just so vivid and bright that it makes me want to bring them out of the book in my chalks.  I hardly have done them justice but it was fun to try!

26 June 2018 – Ramandu and Lilliandil in chalk. I will probably tweek this later and see if I can’t get things to stand out more. It’s all an experiment when it comes to this for me!

Kyle and I haven’t seen the rest of the movies they made in the series, just the first one.   After reading the stories I hope to find the movies available to watch at some point.   This scene I’m sharing is so beautiful.  Talk about a star making an entrance!

Ramandu

I am a star at rest, my daughter. When I set for the last time, decrepit and old beyond all that you can reckon, I was carried to this island. I am not so old now as I was then. Every morning a bird brings me a fire-berry from the valleys in the Sun, and each fire-berry takes away a little of my age. And when I have become as young as the child that was born yesterday, then I shall take my rising again (for we are at earth’s eastern rim) and once more tread the great dance.
―Ramandu (Chapter 14) [src]

Ramandu was a star at rest, and the father of Caspian X‘s wife, in the world of Narnia.

Description

He was an old man with silver hair and a beard that went all the way down to the floor. Tall and straight, he was clothed in a robe that appeared to be made of the fleece of silver sheep, and his feet were bare.

He was mild and grave of demeanor, and seemed to radiate light, commanding silence and respect.

Biography

It is unknown when Ramandu was first born as a celestial star, but after many years he became tired, as all stars eventually do, and returned below to the surface of the world. During his rest, he lived on his own island, located at the beginning of the world’s end, where years later he eventually bore a daughter with an unknown human woman.

During his time as an earth-bound star, he and his daughter together guarded the ancient Stone Knife of the White Witch, which she had used to kill Aslan during the Winter Revolution. It lay on Aslan’s Table, and was forbidden to be touched by anyone.

In the 2290’s NY, however, Ramandu’s island was discovered by three of the Seven Lost Lords, Mavramorn, Argoz and Revilian, one of whom touched the knife in a fit of anger, causing all three of them to fall into an enchanted sleep.

In 2306, a ship called the Dawn Treader docked at the Island, searching for the three lords and Aslan’s Country. This party was led by King Caspian X of Narnia, who quickly fell in love with Ramandu’s daughter.

Ramandu<img src=”https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/narnia/images/b/b3/Ramandu.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/180?cb=20100219021653″ alt=”Ramandu” class=”thumbimage ” data-image-key=”Ramandu.jpg” data-image-name=”Ramandu.jpg” width=”180″ height=”210″ >

When Ramandu first appeared to the travelers of the Dawn Treader, he did not greet them, but joined his daughter; with her he raised his arms toward the east and sung a ritual song of welcome to the Sun. Afterward, a Bird flew by and placed a bright fruit into his mouth. This was a Fire-berry, which renewed his strength each day until the time when he would be able to once more join the great dance. He told Caspian that in order to break the enchantment of the Three Sleepers, it was necessary for someone to sail as far east as possible, and to leave there a volunteer who would continue on to the Utter East. However, he could not give Caspian navigational information about the journey there, because he had only a star’s perspective of Narnia.

When Ramandu first told the visitors his name and there was no recognition from them, he realised that he had ceased being a star long before they were born. He also corrected Eustace for equating what a star is made of, stating that although in our world stars are made of balls of flaming gas, that is not what they are.

He also informed the adventurers that they had already met another star, Coriakin, who he indicated was earthbound because of some personal failure. However, he would not reveal the circumstances of Coriakin’s fall, on the grounds that humans are not meant to know such things about stars.

Dismissing this line of questioning as useless, he pressed Caspian to decide about sailing east. When the king mentioned the weariness of his crew, Ramandu said that enchantments can be broken only by knowledgeable and willing participants. He also assures them that should the adventurers wish to winter on this island, Aslan’s Table would supply them daily with royal fare.

Finally, Ramandu laid his hands, radiant with a faint silver glow, on the head of Lord Rhoop, so that he could experience rest in the company of the three sleepers.

When the crew finally left for the Utter East, they left behind Lord Rhoop and one other Narnian with Ramandu, who cared for them until their return. When the ship eventually returned, they took the Narnians back home with them, including Ramandu’s Daughter who left to be with King Caspian whom she had fallen in love with. Presumably, she left with Ramandu’s blessing.

It is most likely that Ramandu eventually returned to the skies when he was fully rejuvenated, and shone once again as a full star.

Description

Lilliandil was an inexpressibly beautiful, young woman; tall, with long yellow hair that hung down her back, and she dressed in a single long garment of clear blue that left her arms bare. According to the illustrations in the book, she went barefoot, just like her father.

Biography

Childhood

Lilliandil was the daughter of Ramandu, a resting Star, and an unknown mother. Since she was not a Star herself, her mother might have been human. She grew up on her father’s island at the Beginning of the End of the World. Together, she and her father watched over Aslan’s Table and the Stone Knife with which he was killed, which was kept on the table in his honour. Circa 2290 NY, the Narnian lords Revilian, Argoz, and Mavramorn landed on the island and fell into an enchanted sleep after one of them touched the Knife.

In 2306, another ship landed on the island, which was met by Lilliandil. They identified themselves as Narnians, friends of the three sleepers, and were led by the young King Caspian X, who was instantly smitten with the Star’s beautiful daughter. He asked her what breaking the spell on the sleepers would require, mentioning something about Sleeping Beauty and the kiss required to wake the princess. Lilliandil, however, replied that it was the opposite here; he must break the spell before he could kiss the princess. The young king immediately decided to break the spell, and asked her what he must do. Ramandu gave him instructions, and Caspian and his crew sailed away, leaving behind a Lord named Rhoop and a sailor called Pittencream. Ramandu and his daughter cared for both men during their stay.

Marriage and Queenship

In time, the spell was broken, and the sleeping Lords awoke. Shortly after, King Caspian and his crew returned to the island to take their people back to Narnia. While there, Caspian asked Lilliandil to come to Narnia with him, which she did. Soon after, the two were married and Caspian made Lilliandil his queen. She was a good and dearly beloved queen. After about fifteen years of marriage, she gave birth to a son and Caspian’s heir apparent, Prince Rilian, who, like his mother, had some Star’s blood in his veins. When Rilian was newly knighted, and about twenty years old, he and the queen, together with some courtiers, went maying in the Narnian forests. While resting apart from the others, the queen was attacked by a green serpent. Her screams were heard by the courtiers, who rushed to her aid, but they were too late to save her. Before she died, the queen seemed to try hard to tell Rilian something, but was unable to say it before the serpent’s venom took hold.

It is unknown what she was trying to say to Rilian before she died, but it was discovered later that the serpent who killed her was a witch who was plotting to kidnap the prince. It is possible, although speculative, that the queen knew this and was trying to warn her son.

Afterlife

Following her tragic death, Lilliandil went to Aslan’s Country where she lived happily, and was eventually reunited with her husband ten years later. Rilian later joined his parents, though it is unknown when he died. Lilliandil was among the many Narnians present at the Great Reunion following the end of Narnia, along with her husband, son and father.

Adaptations

  • In the 1989 BBC TV series, Ramandu’s daughter is played by Gabrielle Anwar. In the 1990 sequel, she is un-credited, but possibly played again by Gabrielle Anwar.
  • In the 2010 film adaptation, Ramandu’s daughter was played by the Australian actress, Laura Brent. This is the only adaptation to name her (the book series simply called her “Ramandu’s daughter”). Her name was created by producer Douglas Gresham, which was created to evoke imagery of the sea of lilies from the book. In the movie, she is apparently a full-blooded star (being the Blue Star that guides the crew of the Dawn Treader to Ramandu’s island and the Dark Island), not a half-star, though again there is no mention of her mother, and her father is mentioned by her (and is the namesake of the island), but does not make an appearance. In this adaptation, she wears a white dress and is surrounded by a bluish-white glow.

25 June 2018 Drawings and The Chronicles of Narnia

For those unfamiliar with The Chronicles series,  here is a little info.  If you go to the actual link there is a lot more.  I would have to say my favorite relationship/part of the book is what goes on between Aslan and Lucy.  She has the faith of a child and it is her unyielding belief in Aslan that gets them out of more than one trouble spot.

“Will the others see you too?” asked Lucy.
“Certainly not at first,” said Aslan. “Later on, it depends.”
“But they won’t believe me!” said Lucy.
“It doesn’t matter.”

The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels by C. S. Lewis. It is considered a classic of children’s literature and is the author’s best-known work, having sold over 100 million copies in 47 languages.[1][2] Written by Lewis, illustrated by Pauline Baynes, and originally published in London between 1950 and 1956, The Chronicles of Narnia has been adapted several times, complete or in part, for radio, television, the stage, and film.

Set in the fictional realm of Narnia, a fantasy world of magic, mythical beasts, and talking animals, the series narrates the adventures of various children who play central roles in the unfolding history of that world. Except in The Horse and His Boy, the protagonists are all children from the real world, magically transported to Narnia, where they are called upon by the lion Aslan to protect Narnia from evil and restore the throne to its rightful line. The books span the entire history of Narnia, from its creation in The Magician’s Nephew to its eventual destruction in The Last Battle.

Inspiration for the series was taken from multiple sources; in addition to adapting numerous traditional Christian themes, Lewis freely borrowed characters and ideas from Greek and Roman mythology as well as from traditional British and Irish fairy tales.

The books have profoundly influenced adult and children’s fantasy literature since World War II. Lewis’s exploration of themes not usually present in children’s literature, such as religion, as well as the books’ perceived treatment of issues including race and gender, has caused some controversy.

25 June 2018 Unwanted (Dream), Haunted Dolls and Insight About Mexico ( Mexican Elections: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

Hello to you.  How are you doing?  I’m doing pretty good today.  We had a blessing of a smidge of rain we desperately needed coming through this morning.  It will probably be completely evaporated by the time I finish writing this but it was an answered prayer!

Had an interesting dream this morning just before waking up.  It was about a little girl and a baby that looked like a doll but it was a child.  It seemed unwanted.  I picked up and examined the baby and it had a golden eye – two different colored eyes.  Then there was a soldier-like man who had the same colored eyes that seemed to blame the little girl for the baby existing.

My husband tells me that I must have subconsciously been picking up on goings-on from his playing the Kingdom Hearts video game lol.  It could be my subconscious processing a bunch of videos we’ve seen lately with haunted baby dolls.  We are both very highly suspicious of most of these types of videos but every once and awhile you will see one that gives you pricklies on the back of the neck!

When I was younger I used to have a lot of dreams about objects doing things without anybody being there.  For example I remember having a dream about my red Datsun 210 starting by itself and driving into the driveway.  Another was of walking by the front of my childhood home and the living room curtains moving when nobody was in the house.  The creepiest was one of being in our basement and the vacuum cleaner lifting off of the ground by itself and in the dream my thinking my birth mom was the one doing it.

Anyhew….if I was a spirit and wanted to keep an eye on my prey and or majorly mess with somebody I’d get in a doll I think lol.   It wouldn’t have to be like Chuckie or anything.  Some of the videos we’ve seen are so subtle the people taking the videos don’t even notice the movement until somebody else says something or they play back the video.  I’m still very suspicious of most of them being just a way to get attention.

10 Haunted Dolls Caught On Tape

Changing subjects.

This morning Kyle and I were talking about immigration again and what would be the motivating factors for people wanting to come to this country.  We were pleased to see John OIiver has just put out a video exploring what’s going on in Mexico with regards to their political system.  After watching this video, I can see many motivators for someone to want to leave Mexico.  They have had 113 politicians murdered this election season alone!  As I’ve mentioned before, and most already know this, if someone can tick off the hierarchy of needs checklist they are most likely going to stay where they are and flourish.   Sadly and ironically it’s not much different for these folks here or in Mexico!  I was thinking this morning that instead of using all that money to build a wall, why not use those funds to collaborate to make both Mexico and America better countries?  I know, that would be too easy….

24 June 2018 – my drawing after it cooled down…”Rise.”

My prayer for the Mexican people and their upcoming elections is that whatever the outcome, it will be for their very best.  I want better for these hard working and in some cases very desperate people.  They deserve better!  (So do we but that’s a box I’m not going to open!)

24 June 2018 Dreams and “Nobody” (song/poem)

Hi there.  Hope this finds you well today.  I had quite a night last night.  Lots of dreams.

23 June 2018 – Only drawing from yesterday. It was just too hot to spend much time outside. “Keyhole in the sky.”

The first dream  was of an awkward introduction to a young dark-haired man who said his name was Alan.  It was like we were having a flying lesson at Hogwarts.  Before he told me his name he gave me a kiss.  We were like awkward teenagers meeting for the first time.

The second dream was about actually going to a Prince tribute concert I had been considering a couple of days ago on Facebook.  The man who was being Prince got lots of excitement – after the concert the fans ran up to him to get their pictures taken.

The third dream was about being with a younger David Bowie in a restaurant.  We were talking about something to do with a piece of paper that had a bunch of difficult questions being left for someone on a table.  He said he didn’t care if they got any of the answers right.  It was about them acknowledging the miracle of a piece of paper being specifically addressed to someone in a random restaurant and their finding it. It would be like you spontaneously deciding to go eat at McDonald’s and going to sit down with your food and finding a test addressed to you by name waiting at your table!  “I’m not trying to be clever, I’m an idiot most of the time,” he said.  Then we both started laughing really hard and I looked to my right and another version of David, older,  is sitting at the table next to us and they start laughing too.  While we were all laughing I felt a sharp scratch on my right ankle in my waking world and woke up.

Before heading out on the dog walk this morning this little poem/song came to me, I’ve given it the title Nobody.  I think it’s about the God of my understanding, energy.  Energy is everywhere and in everything and yet we can’t see all that is going on with it.  The tiny particles that fill the space in between objects, thoughts and deeds.  It is easy to take so much for granted about this life.  I try to remember that every little piece of how and why I am here is thanks to forces seen and unseen.  The trees, the clouds, the insects, the people and animals I love, the very air I breathe is all because of energy….because of God.

Nobody

“I am nobody of any consequence

A passing cloud

A persistent itch at the end of your nose

An unseen tug on the tip of your toes

A passing thought you might of had

That made you smile

Or made you real sad

I am nobody

And yet I’m everything.”

23 June 2018 – drawing I did yesterday. “Ghost food” is what I’m calling it lol.

1141 am – adding these drawings to this post.  The blue butterfly is a connection to Alice Through The Looking Glass and having a dream with Alan in it last night.  This drawing is about, to me, the transition from our being one form to another when we are through with this life:

Voices on a paper

I often eavesdrop to random voices roaming in the air. Some leave bruises on my eyelids due to the frequent wiping of tears. They have a saddening picture. Others stimulate endless smiles. Some would like to remain unidentified. All in all, I love to narrate stories of the sad, happy and mysterious voices.
