28 Nov 2017 Connections (drawing inspired by misifusa blog Connecting the Dots)

Hello again.  Just put some food to bake in the oven, the easy pot-pie and have a couple of minutes as we wait.  It’s been a lovely and breezy first part of the day.  As I sat outside doing the drawing I’m going to share, I was being pelted by falling leaves lol.  I loved it.  Leaves hitting me in the face, landing on my drawing or in my lap lol.  I imagined this was the trees with the help of the winds expressing their opinion about things….”put another circle right there!” *leaf falls on the paper in a blank spot lol.

This drawing was inspired by fellow WordPress blogger misifusa’s post today about the special connections we make as bloggers.   As I was drawing, I began to think about all the connections that exist at all levels of our existence.  From one star’s path to another’s in space to a leaf blowing in my yard from a tree across the street.  There is the old 6 degrees of separation connection game.  The connections in our brain from one neural path to another.  It seems so random but is it really?  I don’t think the connections are just a coincidence.  When you lay them all out it’s like a map….a complex plan.

Excerpt and shared sentiment not just about the blogosphere but just life itself:

“So today, I’m grateful for all of our connections, internet and otherwise.  I love how blogging has expanded our friendships globally.  I can now count friendships with all of you, in many different countries and across the USA.  We are gratefully united through friendship and caring.”

  1. I love the connections that we bloggers make across the ether too, they are very special friendships.
I have always wanted to draw and have bought a book to help. It starts with doodles and the other day I made one a bit like yours, another connection. 🙂

    • Sally I wish you the best with the drawing! Go for it!! If you get stumped, something my inner voice will say for me is, “Just start with a square” or “Just draw!” Don’t worry about what anyone thinks – just go with the flow! I hope you’ll eventually share some of your works!
