11 Nov 2017 Timely finding of Princess Celestia

Hello to you.  How are you doing?  I’m doing pretty well but really tired.  I wanted to share something special that happened today.  On the way home from taking Cole home, Kyle did a couple of errands.  I had asked him if he would pick me up some more chalk at Michael’s and when he did, he completed a 9 month quest we’ve been on together.  The quest to find the last part of the My Little Pony collection he started for me….the quest to find Princess Celestia!

This is picture of my Grandma Carol Becker celebrating her 75th birthday – (Princess Celestia and Princess Luna from My Little Pony).  Celestia is on the left…she even has a playful smirk like my Grandma used to get lol!

What’s interesting is how his finding her coincides with my post this morning inquiring about the afterlife of the Ancient One from Dr. Strange (2016) and a text I received from my Aunt Ruth shortly after he got home.  The text was to remind all of us kids that yesterday my Grandma Carol Becker would have been 100 years old!  My Grandma Carol was a Princess Celestia figure to me,  so it’s so synchronistic that Kyle would find the last pony we were looking for today!

Princess Celestia is an Alicorn pony, the co-ruler of Equestria alongside her younger sister Princess Luna, and the adoptive aunt of Princess Cadance. In addition to her responsibility of raising the sun, she has also been the teacher of Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer at different periods in time, often addressing Twilight as “my faithful student” while mentoring her. She has a pet phoenix named Philomena.

My Grandma taught me so many important things while she was here and in one way or another, she’s very much alive to me each day.

When I was stationed at Peterson AFB in Colorado, I would often drive up to visit her in Ft Collins for the weekend.  I remember her and I taking a walk together in her neighborhood during one of these visits.  As we walked, she pointed out various trees to me and told me how she felt like each one was like a person.  An individualwith it’s own personality.  A friend.  That walk with my Grandma resonates with how I feel and interact with trees to this day.  They are family, they are friends and I realize that without them, the very lungs of this planet we are doomed!

My thanks to the person from TY hat made the Princess Celestia Kyle bought today….btw….it was the only one they had.  God winks!
