Good afternoon to you. Not much to write to you about today but wanted to pop in and say hello. I looked at the MSN headlines a moment ago and I don’t know about you but man does it feel grim for the United States! North Korea threatening to turn the US to ash, Russian bombers flying around Alaska, I heard talk this morning of our government being willing to go so far as to put the entire government in shut-down in order to fund Trump’s wall, and tax reform is on the horizon! APOCALYPSE! LOL! Zomg!
There is good that has come of all of this negativity….it’s not so hard to see the positive things now is it?! It certainly has found me taking a lot less for granted each day! Every little thing that is good has an exclamation point! We must keep shining, no matter what! Keep your “Shine on!” Don’t feed the trolls who are having a Festivus feeding on the “rest of us!”
This video is an example of what I think of “walls” – I think they are only good for coming down especially when they divide people such as the Berlin Wall did. I think this wall President Trump wants to build is only going to bankrupt a future we can have of unity with our neighbors…members of our human family.
There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
The other chalk drawing I did yesterday was because ever since I found out about what happened to NY judge Sheila Abdus Salaam, she’s just been on my mind. I really feel her death was a suspicious one. I just hope that there will be a thorough investigation and that there will be justice for her and closure for her loved ones!
Husband of dead New York judge: Suicide speculation is ‘irresponsible’

(CNN) Speculation about the possible suicide of Sheila Abdus-Salaam, the New York state judge whose body was found in the Hudson River last week, is “unwarranted and irresponsible,” her husband said in a statement Wednesday night.
“Those of us who loved Sheila and knew her well do not believe that these unfounded conclusions have any basis in reality,” Rev. Canon Gregory A. Jacobs said. “And in the absence of any conclusive evidence, we believe such speculations to be unwarranted and irresponsible.”
