Good morning family it’s 7:13 am…..the month and day of the birth of my husband Kyle Martin Wygant (the year of his birth was 1984). Today we will be voting for the next President of the United States. Kyle said he is certain one thing as he prepares to go the polls after class today, he will not be voting for Donald Trump. I know nothing else on his part but I don’t need to know. Who he votes for is his personal decision and I have no right to judge him whichever person he should choose. He had said he was going to handwrite in Bernie Sanders but I don’t know if he still will. That ship has sailed in this dimension.
I wish you all much love, light and a special dashes of Wisdom and Courage. Today is truly going to be an awesome day. I woke up with this being my first words, “Today is going to be awesome because I have Faith.”

How do we forgive our Fathers? Maybe in a dream Do we forgive our Fathers for leaving us too often or forever when we were little?
Maybe for scaring us with unexpected rage or making us nervous because there never seemed to be any rage there at all.
Do we forgive our Fathers for marrying or not marrying our Mothers? For Divorcing or not divorcing our Mothers?
And shall we forgive them for their excesses of warmth or coldness? Shall we forgive them for pushing or leaning for shutting doors for speaking through walls or never speaking or never being silent?
Do we forgive our Fathers in our age or in theirs or their deaths saying it to them or not saying it?
If we forgive our Fathers what is left?
* This poem is read during the last scene in Smoke Signals. It was originally published in a longer version titled “Forgiving Our Fathers” in a book of poems titled Ghost Radio published by Hanging Loose Press in 1998
Fry Bread Recipe – I’ve started making this instead of full loaves of bread and find it’s a very satisfying meal even just by itself!
2 1/2 cups flour (adjust as needed)
1/2 tsp salt
1 TBSP Baking Powder
3/4 cup water or milk
Combine ingredients – adjust flour as needed. Want a bread dough texture, shouldn’t be “wet.”
Take palm size clump of dough. Drop into separate bowl of plain flour. Roll around until coated. Then flatten to palm size pieces.
For griddle – 1/2 inch to 1 inch hot oil (I use peanut or olive oil). Preheat while rolling dough. Drop “flats” in oil. Want a golden crust on both sides. Use tongues to flip. Can leave plain or drop into paper bag that has sugar/cinnamon mix (we use organic powdered sugar and sprinkle that on top – sometimes add cinnamon to the dough). Cool on paper towel covered plate. This recipe makes about 8 palm size pieces. Can Fry Daddy deep fat fry cook – that’s what we use. This is a variation of a recipe my Dad and I used to share when I was a little girl. He would buy frozen bread dough instead and cut it up and deep fat fry them.
