2 Nov 2016 Night clouds, Interesting flyers in the mailbox (Homestead Fair in Waco TX Thanksgiving Weekend 2016), what the name Waco brings to mind every time I hear it (Waco Siege 1993), The Fall (Netflix original series), Dark Horse (Katy Perry)

Good morning to you, how are you?  I’m doing fairly well.  I got up around 10:30 pm last night and went outside in time to witness something I had never seen, or at least don’t remember seeing. I witnessed clouds being “born” and traveling at night.  When I initially went out the sky was very clear and starry.  Then as I started to listen to music and gaze at the stars,  all the sudden these very low flying clouds started to rise up and go past.  I could almost feel them touch me!  For someone who loves to sky gaze and imagines touching the clouds a lot, that was pretty close – for a human girl right?!  Pretty there were so many of them,  the entire starry sky was “clouded out!”  Just one of those moments to share with you that happen when you follow “internal promptings.”

So yesterday in the mailbox we got the usual bunch of ads and “junk mail” but tucked inside the ads was this and it caught my eye as something I would love to be a part of.  Only problem is we are going home for Thanksgiving so we won’t be around but, as it turns out, this is a place we can visit even after Thanksgiving so we will definitely do that!

When I think of Waco a couple things happen in my head.  First I think “Wacko” like crazy and secondly I think of that word because of this horrific chain of events that happened there:

The Waco siege was a siege of a compound belonging to the religious group Branch Davidians by American federal and Texas state law enforcement and US military between February 28 and April 19, 1993.[4] The Branch Davidians, a sect that separated in 1955 from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, was led by David Koresh and lived at Mount Carmel Center ranch in the community of Elk, Texas,[5][6][7] nine miles (14 kilometers) east-northeast of Waco. The group was suspected of weapons violations, causing a search and arrest warrant to be obtained by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The incident began when the ATF attempted to raid the ranch. An intense gun battle erupted, resulting in the deaths of four government agents and six Branch Davidians. Upon the ATF’s failure to raid the compound, a siege was initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the standoff lasting 51 days. Eventually, the FBI launched an assault and initiated a tear gas attack in an attempt to force the Branch Davidians out of the ranch. During the attack, a fire engulfed Mount Carmel Center. In total 76 people died,[8][9] including David Koresh.

Much dispute remains as to the actual events of the siege. A particular controversy ensued over the origin of the fire; an internal Justice Department investigation concluded in 2000 that sect members themselves had started the fire. The events near Waco, and the siege at Ruby Ridge less than 12 months earlier were both cited as the primary motivations behind the Oklahoma City bombing that took place exactly two years later.

I don’t know but I think there is an “infected wound” on our collective consciousness from this atrocity.  This, on a very large scale, is the kind of thing I’m talking about when I talk about karmic soul chasing…..the repeating of a “crime” over and over again until there is resolution to the first one.    I don’t know that there has ever been amends made over what happened here.  It is my prayer, as this place has entered my consciousness in such a positive and loving way (The prospect of visiting the Homestead village) that if there are still wounds, if there are still amends needing to be made that they will be healed on all accounts.  Whenever you have this kind of people, place and thing “trauma” of body, mind and spirit…..there is a residue left behind and new “layers” get built on top of it not necessarily at the specific site but in the entire layer of existence we are sharing!  The dream we are all in together.

I caught an episode of The Fall on Netflix yesterday and was watching it with more mindfulness and something occurred to me about these kinds of shows and why we make them?  People seem to be consciously and mostly subconsciously seeking closure to the “layers” of themselves….to silence the echo’s in their blood of wrongs done to them or those attached to their blood memory.  They will make the same sorts of films and shows over and over again without even realizing “why” they are truly making them….trying to close ancient Cold Case Files!   When I watched this I found myself seeing connections in the archetypes of this show to the “layers” of Cold Case Files of our past.  Posing a woman under a sheet….Monroe.  The thoughts I’ve shared about the crimes Jealousy can imagine, manifest and carry out defy all boundaries of space and time.

    • Everything we do is a reflection of a person, a place and thing we have been – seeking answers and closure to the wounded “layers” of our existence. Love to you my friend!
