Hello to you and for those of you with dimensions in my time zone, it’s Friday! YAY! We just got back from walking the dogs and it’s quite stagnant and warm out there already…lots of “trails in the sky” too. I could taste my air this morning and that’s never good! Last night I finished the biography on Philip K. Dick…wow! The last part of the book was quite intense to read and I found myself feeling agitated and anxious as I read it. So many things that he was exploring resonate with me and I’m not sure if that is a good thing or not! I started reading his book Valis last night and I can already tell it isn’t going to be an easy read…a lot of time and “who is telling the story” jumping in just the first chapter! For those of you who have read the book, you know what I’m talking about.
Today is my mother-in-law Beth’s birthday!! Happy Birthday BETH! We plan to see her and much of the family living in the area on the 4th of July. I am blessed to have a mother-in-law who is also a friend. When I was in the hospital this last time, she frequently accompanied Kyle to come and see me during visitor hours and it gets me choked up just writing that….she came and visited me. When you feel like you are in the Twilight Zone, like I did, having people come and reassure you that you are still “here” means everything. She even read the “babbldegook” I wrote when I was at Huguley….she visited me there too. When she would come to visit me there, and you will laugh, I found myself feeling like I had sprouted curly hair and started talking in a male British accent LOL! She is a great fan of Dickens and Shakespeare…may be I was channeling one of those fellows in her honor LOL. I know….totally nuts…but unlike some who go into alternate states of being and “forget” or “can’t remember”….I remember most of it and it’s not all as humorous to recall! I love you Beth!
*side note Beth has begun a children’s theater group in Cresson TX, check out her Facebook page if you are interested in learning more!
(this is the official video, I know this first image has a censored thingy)
A couple fun songs you corrupted me with Beth (wink)! I love that we enjoy music together!
Anyhew…I wanted to give a shout out to anyone interested about my friend David Paul Ridley’s recent campaign – choosing Love not Hate. Yesterday I had the honor of watching his first live-stream to talk about his background and where he’s coming from with this campaign. The bottom line is he, like myself and so many others in our world now, want change of the loving kind! It doesn’t matter your race, sex, sexual orientation, body type, nationality, culture, creed, political party, hair color…..all those labels we put on ourselves to make us separate in a world where we live as one. For me not to like someone has nothing to do with “the appearance of their flesh suite” it’s about how they operate it….BEHAVIOR! I want to love people for what is inside of them and not what they are “wearing.” Looks can be deceiving!

I was scanning the news lines this morning and came across this article about an investigation being opened after a fatal crash involving a Tesla Model S car in autopilot mode. Seeing this headline doesn’t surprise me or disuade me from still wanting my driverless electric TESLA car someday! It’s interesting to note it wasn’t entirely at fault! My message to Tesla Motors — DON’T GIVE UP!! I believe in you!
WASHINGTON, June 30 (Reuters) – A fatal accident in which the driver of a Tesla Motors Inc Model S car operating in Autopilot mode was killed in a collision with a truck has prompted an investigation by federal highway safety regulators, the U.S. government and Tesla disclosed on Thursday.
The investigation of the first known fatality to involve a Model S operating on Autopilot comes as Tesla and other automakers are gearing up to offer systems that allow vehicles to pilot themselves under certain conditions across a wide range of vehicles over the next several years.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it is investigating 25,000 Model S sedans that are equipped with the Autopilot system.
The accident, which according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol killed 40-year-old Joshua Brown on a clear, dry roadway on May 7 in Williston, Florida, will add fuel to a debate within the auto industry and in legal circles over the safety of systems that take partial control of steering and braking from drivers.
The NHTSA said preliminary reports indicate the crash occurred when a tractor-trailer made a left turn in front of the Tesla at an intersection.
Luxury electric car maker Tesla said in a blogpost on Thursday that “neither Autopilot nor the driver noticed the white side of the tractor trailer against a brightly lit sky, so the brake was not applied.”
Tesla shares fell as much as 3 percent, or $6.28, in after-hours trading, on the news of the fatal crash and the investigation. The company emphasized the unusual nature of the crash and said it was the first fatality in more than 130 million miles of use.
Tesla Model S sedans start at about $66,000.
Not much else from here! I hope this finds you in a good head space today! Remember, you have the power to evict those rotten tenants that may be trying to squat in your brain! YOU ARE AWESOME SAUCE!
