30 April 2016 What we do in the Shadows (13 Feb 2015 USA) – hilarious mockumentary on modern vampire life

Hi there!  Hope this finds you well.  Kyle and I are doing better.  We had some more rain come through yesterday and I am so grateful!  I can breathe!  WOW!  There are so many things one takes for granted and getting sick will certainly remind you quickly you’d better be grateful for EVERYTHING.

So a couple days ago we got our Netflix movie What we do in the Shadows and yesterday we finally felt up to watching it…..it was so good we had to order a copy!  It has been a long time since we’ve seen a somewhat original take on a very old topic – vampires.   As a life-long fan of the vampire genre as is Kyle, we like to see what people come up with.  We tried watching Only Lovers Left Alive starring Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston but it was just too slow.  I love Tom and Tilda too so it was hard to “give up” about half-way in.  I’ll probably try again but just have to be in the right frame of mind for it.  This movie was more our speed – definitely cult classic material.

We had many favorite lines from the movie but this is our favorite:
